I used to read a lot of "mysterious phenomena" stuff as a kid. The whole "raining animals" thing is a reoccurring event around that time. That said, two things why Part 6 is close to my heart are (1) Jolyne, and (2) it's got a lot of these tabloid style "unexplained phenomena" type stuff.

JoJo hype on a community-wide scale is definitely dead, but on a personal level, having read the manga and knowing what comes next... It is through the roof. Batch 2 is really good and the content of Batch 3 is going to be a 10/10 when it's animated. The Savage Garden arc is one of my favourites in JoJo's. It was really underrated before the anime came out. This episode in particular is equal parts ridiculous and awesome.

I'm so sick of this "Jojo hype is dying" bullshit. It's objectively not true. Yes, it sucks that we have to wait longer inbetween episodes. And as a result, concurrent viewers is lower(not by a lot) than in part 5 which was weekly(And also the most popular part in Japan), But saying it's "killing the hype" is just straight up untrue. The raining frogs is a stretch. It is possible for hurricanes and such to pick up animals and drop them down, and there are also instances of animals falling out of trees and such (I think there’s a specific lizard that hibernates in trees and tends to fall out if it gets too cold?) but that would be local animals, not poison frogs from South America, lol. I guess the idea is that Weather Report can copy any possible weather phenomenon, but this is truly bizarre.
