I was 3 years old in 1979 and my grandfather had just died, and it was the day after the funeral. My grandmother was taking a nap on the couch holding her glasses in her hand, and she always did, and I, almost without thinking, walked up to her, knelt beside her, and sang this song to her. She stayed asleep, and only told me later "I heard you singing to me" in such a beautiful moment. I miss them both so much.

Very sad. My dear Mom who was also my best friend lost her beautiful voice to smoking, and not long ago her life to cancer. My heart's broken; I lost a Mom, dad (since I never had one) and great friend in one shot. I know the damage smoking can do. It's too bad that when my Mom was 11 she never started smoking, or at least knew the harm that it could bring.
