Dior Bois D'Argent Review! Liquid Money

I did not have an appreciation for this fragrance until I wore it in cooler temperatures. I don't find that it works well in the heat of the Caribbean, in my temperatures I only get a plastic like smell. I wore it in Atlanta in January and was I ever impressed, similar thing occurred with Ambre Nuit until I tried it in Canada in cooler temperatures.

We've only tried a few, but they're mostly feminine. Maybe Cologne Royale, Leather Oud, and Vetiver.

I guess I'll have to try that. If you don't mind me asking, when you say projection/sillage, you mean it like thick blanket that fills the room like Dior Homme Intense, or smelling a hint of it in a room? I usually only spray one on neck with even things like Creed but for me to get a similar effect, I need 2 elbows and 1 neck with Bois d'Argent. I mean I get a whiff of it every once in a while for a whole day so longevity is not an issue...

Dior's website has both sizes. You can find it for a little more than $150 there. Amazon overcharges for this because you can't find it in any department stores.

This is definitely a great fragrance, on me in the same category as vintage DHI but much lighter. I also lose the scent (nose fatigue) after a couple of hours, but usually get compliments from others hours later after I personally lose the scent.

Hey guys. Excellent review as usual. I've been very very interested in this fragrance for a long time now. It just seems to match my current taste in fragrances (D600, DH, DHI, etc). But, there's one thing that's stopping me from ordering a bottle (other than the price, of course) and the is myrrh note. Do you know how it's suppose to smell? If so, do you guys detect it in the frag?

did a long wearing of Bois d Argent...much more iris this time...and more pleasant than the test run...the cocoa puffs totally receeds now....I enjoy it very much...even though it projects alot it is soft and unoffensive...so good for work...Will i buy a bottle...not sure yet...i bought a nice sized sample and so ill see how it goes......thanks for your reviews guys

I have trying to like this for a while but my nose is not picking up those extra notes. All I smell is a sharp wood, sour note.Do you guys get that as your "weird" part about the scent? I don't really like it. Hope you guys review Ambre Nuit next....its a nice rose scent with beast projection and longevity

Great review. I have to find a way to sample this. I like Ambre Nuit and Leather Oud and this one's on my list. I did see a few on Basenotes said it had a Root Beer vibe which scares me though.

Used to wear this daily when it came out in London in the mid 2000s (old version of the bottle was a screw top with no magnet). Gradually I began to smell the "huh?" soured part until it was all I could smell. I actually thought it had expired so I put it away. Maybe I'll get back to it and give it another chance. I believe in the opening, the iris gives it that waxy chalky smell, but it quickly develops from that to the sweet myrrh and honey with some dusty undertones

Yeah they're definitely comparable, but instead of the cocoa/vanilla vibe from DHI, I feel I get more honey and amber instead of that.

Hey fragrance Bros. I'm kind of new to the Cologne thing, and was wondering. .what is a fujiere cologne? I have Michael Kors which is considered a fujiere, and recently bought Killian a taste of heaven. I've seen on a review somewhere that that is also considered a fujiere? They both smell excellent from a little distance, but if I put my nose directly to my arm it don't smell too good. Is that just one of the characteristics with fujieres? I love your videos you're the reason I bought some Killian!

i think we define "work-friendly" as something that smells inoffensive, not necessarily something that is light. so here i think that applies. but you can always just spray less just to be safe. :)

Hey guys, I just got this scent from dior.com and... either my nose broke or this review is an April Fool's joke. I get skin scent from beginning and can't smell much unless my nose is 2 inches away from the site. It's so ethereal and light that I don't think it'll work even in 60 degree Washington weather. This is such a unique fragrance. The warm milk w/honey and vanilla is a good description. I get a bit of a marshmallow vibe too. Kinda bizarre, but very good.

The weird smell I get out of this is like a barn/hay note. It's really off putting when I get whiffs of it and unfortunately it doesn't ever completely go away until late into the drydown.

I think the weirdness in this is from the juniper, it doesn’t really fit. So when you smell it (mainly in the opening, but peaks out from time to time) you can’t help but think what the hell is that doing in here?

Bought a decant of Bois D'argent after watching danforz2 Masterpiece review.. First wear, it lasted 36 or so hours on my skin.. 2nd wear for some reason the sweet/honey note was nauseating to my nose or it could have been the myrrh, but i was almost tempted to wash it off my neck. All in all, it's a masterpiece to me, because of the amazing longevity and it stay transparent, it doesn't jump out at you like ok, "this guy is obviously wearing cologne" it's very inviting and soft Great review guys

I tried this on my skin and it made me literally almost sick. There must be something that has this effect on me. Probably iris, cause I dont like DHI either, even tho it is not so pronounced in there. On the other hand I love LIDG, that is compared to DHI very often. Do u know what ingredient that could be that turns my stomach?

This stuff to me smells like someone took Honey Smacks cereal, dumped a bunch more honey on it and made a perfume out of it. It has a cloudy feel, but I gather that it's from the puffiness of the smacks. I just don't understand the hype.

its a nice sense but nothing to wow me. Strangely, it only last not more than 10mins on me as it become skin sense. Tried it several time on different occasion, all the same result....skin sense.....an expensive skin sense. By the way, Oud Ispahan last for day if not weeks on my clothing. And I love this Oud........
