i've sprayed DHC and ZVLS on each hand on three different days - testing in hot weather , tbh before the tests i budgeted $110 for DHC but after i bought 3 bottles of ZVLS , it's that good, i could still smell it hours after DHC is gone.

Just picked up another bottle of Dior Homme Cologne yesterday. I'll have to get my nose on the Vibrant Leather Summer to see how it compares (ginger note sounds note)... especially for the price!! I'd love to hold on to the Dior longer if I could.

I own both and i can definitely that that Vibrant Leather Summer has way better performance that DIOR Homme Cologne. You can overspray it without a problem and it will last easily the whole day. Even the day after you will smell it strongly on your clothes. The Dior is maybe the more refined Scent but nobody will notice it. Zara is in the first seconds a little bit alcoholic. After that it`s a very very pleasent Scent. price-performance is outstanding. I love the Dior but i receive pain every time i use the sprayer.

Oh wow finally I hear this from someone! I totally get neroli notes here too, I even spray Neroli Portofino on left arm and Dior Homme Cologne on my right arm and there is neroli vibe coming out from DHC. I love DHC so much I got 200 ML bottle.

Never tried the other one, but I made the mistake of blind buying Dior Cologne! It smells like orange kitchen or bathroom cleaner or even a deodorizer! So since it has that citrus smell, I figure that it has vitamin C in it,so I spray it on my neck at night to keep the Ronavirus away! 😆

Hi Chris, i smelled in the store of Zara, Vibrant leather Summer and its an excelent clone of Dior Homme cologne. Its a cheapie but its very good, Zara Vibrant leather summer. I agree with you of every aspects in these two fragances. Nice vídeo!, Chris you stayed in my country Portugal in Lisbon recently, come back again! Hi, i have to disagree that ginger is only difference. I dont detect much difference in the opening, both are bright and crisp citruses. Main difference is that zara is woody in the base and dhc is musky. For me i actually prefer zara more because of drydown. Longevity is a bit better with zara, 1,5h projects and 3 more hours as skin scent. Doesnt smell synthetic, i already have backup bottle after using zara almost everyday.

Own both. I prefer the Zara. It has better performance and I like the dry down better. It’s deeper and slightly spicer in the dry down.

I got Dior Homme Cologne recently following you picking it up, it’s nice although UK weather doesn’t give much time to use it as I only use this on really warm sunny days. Falls into the Givenchy Gentleman Cologne bracket and I get similar performance off both.

Vibrant leather summer is a fantastic summer holiday scent for the price and is one of zaras better fragrances. Mercedes benz cologne gives a very similar vibe to these two.

Totally agree with the ginger note, it is the main note except at the opening. Personally, I do prefer the opening because it feels more citrusy like a lemonade.

I'm about a year late but I'd say its 90% similar to DHC do agree it has a slight sharper and stronger feel probs cos the ginger but I'm a uni student £20 vs £85 is a huge difference 😂

, I have blue hole it's supposed to be a dior homme cologne clone the same as from paris to new York, and vibrant leather summer , the longevity was shocking it lasted 2 hours all I got was lemon for 5 minutes then a cheap smelling jasmine note which smelt like dish soap. Please don't compare a junk zara fragrance with a dior fragrance . Zara fragrance's are the same quality juice as Beckham, playboy, and avon .

Zara fragrances smell cheap. Their pricing is spot on. There is that cheap DNA in all of them. I tried recently Vibrant leather. Man, how can someone compare it with Aventus? Yes the idea of Aventus is there but not comparable really.

Unfortunately you are right... Many people apparently can't smell that DNA or distinguish. The price fits the product and the bottle quality exceeds the price. So it's never a bad buy

lol yes that cheap DNA is so obvious especially when u smell the fragrance in the air and not upclose. I guess its that first spray that fool most ppl giving the impression that it is a great fragrance. It only takes a few mins to realise how much of a synthetic mess this is and the flag is right there but ppl refuse to see it 8£ for a bottle of VLS ! They r obviously using the cheapest ingredients and tried to cover it with a slight ginger note, if there was any type of quality or high quality ingredients this frag wont be that cheap. Yes it is affordable for ppl that cant afford designer frags but please dont compare it to a masterpiece like DHC.

In summer, I use Zara V.L. Cologne as a spray deodorant with 5-6 sprays and another summer scent to my neck as well. Longevity is nice, smells good, but is similar to very nice lemon cologne. I don't know if it is same with V.L. Summer. But Zara continues to sell both of them in here.

A really extensive study as a comparison between the two. I’m not normally tightfisted but somehow feel their Dior Homme Cologne is a little overpriced. These lighter citrusy fragrances for some reason never seem to last at all on my skin.

Chris do you have tested Acqua di Parmas Bergamotto di Calabria? I think it is pretty similar to DHC but not so flowery and more fruity. The Citrus I think is way better there. Thats why I would not reach for the Dior.

VL summer is the same as VL cologne, zara just changed the name and bottle. Which is a shame imo because the cologne bottle was nicer with the blue stem.

I love what u said about DHC and i find this to be more of a review of DHC than a comparison, but i disagree with you about VLS the similarity in the scent might be there ok but theres so much difference between them VLS smells cheap, very synthetic and its not even close to DHC's performance i would spray VLS and after 45mins its completly gone, that cheap Zara DNA is so detectable! the price says it all though, if there was any type of high quality ingredients in VLS they wont sell it for that cheap, the bottles alone cost them 4£

Munir Cheikhelard Vibrant Leather Summer smells just as good or even better. Lasts on me 10+ hours and projects well in the heat. I Had Dior Homme Cologne and it barely lasted 2 hours on my skin, extremely disappointed for what I paid (100 dollars) The Zara is the winner (Only paid 20 dollars). Dont be a snob. I gave my Dior Homme Cologne away and bought a backup bottle of the Zara. The fact that the “Luxurious” and “Expensive” brand gets beaten by a 20 dollar fragrance should say something. Dont fall for the marketing bs and expensive price tag of the Dior.
