Dior Homme Intense 2020 vs 2014

So I got my hands on a 2014 batch of Dior Homme Intense and wanted to compare it to the newest version of DHI that was released in 2020! Are they exactly the same or are there any differences?

I have DHI 2014 and just got DHI 2020. To me, DHI 2014 has a stronger iris & cocoa note, while DHI 2020 seems more refined, balanced, and fresher; no particular note sticks out, which makes it seem slightly weaker. Both versions are still masterpieces!

They aren’t, certainly aren’t head turners, or alluring not enigmatic. Makeup dominant, would best go with a suit or coat

I know this is old but I’ve tested both a 2013 and a 2020 batch. The big difference to me is the new one is loaded with modern aromachemicals that I’m super sensitive to that I don’t notice in the old one. So, if you go anosmic to iso E and Ambroxan like many do, this will feel like it has horrid performance.

The original Dior Homme had cocoa in it, but Homme Intense never did. Great vid!

People complaining about longebut for get to use the fragrance,let in more air and leave it for 2-3 weeks will be same if not better no need to pay crazy ebay prices for some old deteriorated juice

Great review! It could be that the top notes started to fade away somewhat as the fragrance age past 5 -7 years.

Just bought 2 150 ml bottles for the 2020 version and have a 2018 version, would you think its honestly worth it jumping and paying a premium for 2014 ?

I thought my 2020 was fake, because when I smell them side by side like you do, 2020 smells very plasticy/cosmeticy and woody! Older one smells a lot sweeter and chocolately with a rich vanilla. The New one is fresher.

From what I’ve heard it’s bottle style..ones taller than the other plus the label differences and whatnot..and the other is potency..I hear the juice from the 2014 is MUCH more potent and a stronger iris and like you said..the cocoa..I can show u MANY videos of people saying it has cocoa

People saying one thing and if its really in there are two different things 😄 maybe a combination of ingredients made it smell like cocoa or maybe it was really in there but not officially. I heard DH and DHI were updated though to be more mass-pleasing and modern than before, though the potency of the 2014 Version can be because it aged.

The 2020 version lacks what made the old one unique. 2020 is also nice, but it's kind of unfinished and lacks what makes you say wow!

I don't think so. Dior Homme Intense 2020 Is different. It's toned down.

I bought DHI recently Batch is from September 2021, its strong and lasts easily 9-11 hours but remains on skin far beyond. I don't know the OG, though I heard they updated DH and DHI years back to be more mass-pleasing, modern and likeable.
