I just got a bottle of this stuff. I think it's my favorite fragrance thus far. Not suitable for every occasion or type of weather, and the first 30 minutes of it doesn't blow me away, but the dry down is magic. It might just be because this is my first fragrance with iris in it, that I apparently love iris if that's what I'm smelling.

The Iris is a bit muted. If you’re looking for that Dior Homme Intense like Iris. It’s more of in the background and never really shines. It smells a bit classy and Gentlemanly men’s fragrance. I never tried out DHP though. I think that it’s an easier wear for most guys the Dior Homme Intense because the Iris isn’t the star of the show.

Great review, as always - your channel is one of my favorites! I just got my bottle of Gary's Den, but was caught off guard by the scent. Living in the US, I've never had an opportunity to smell DHP, but had imagined that it was maybe a deeper iris, wrapped in a slightly boozy leather and wood combination. If Gary's Den is truly close to DHP, I might not be as interested in DHP as I thought. Dior Homme Intense is one of my favorites, followed by Valentino Uomo Intense, but I honestly can't even detect iris in Gary's Den. I get a very spicy leather, with a strange soap suds scent, but not a drop of iris, which I had hoped would be the star note. Anyone else detect the strange soapy/sudsy note, or is my sense of smell fried? The original Covid of 2020 did a number on my ability to consistently smell things accurately, so I don't always trust my perception...

If you are going to blind buy this, I wouldn't recommend. The reviews on this product do not reflect how this smells. It reminds me of a cheap fragrance you buy from a market, not good quality and it's what I would call a 'headache' smell. I'm not sure how this has so many positive reviews, my guess is that they have been paid to promote the fragrance, so be careful when listening to the reviews.

Lol, they used the gigantic Lataffa Khamrah boxes. It looks cool but then you notice it's 3x the size of any other box and the top isn't secure. Grabbed this one a few days ago after the other two sold out. I tried waiting a few weeks for a good review but that didn't happen. I'm glad a Dior lover approves of it.

It's not close at all.. Gary's den not a replacement for dior homme intense and definitely not a replacement for dior homme parfum.. I was actually pretty hopeful about it but it's a letdown for sure. It's got the good stuff coming out the bottle but quickly dries down cheap baby powder iris. Had to spritz some drakkar noir spice to give it some depth and make enjoyable to wear. I really was hopeful about this Gary's Den. I think these reviewers just aren't trying to offend the fragrancebuy people cause FOMO is their brand. They needed to do better on that one.

@@Gym_Ze its a decent Iris fragrance, but for me its rather linear, no depth. Definitely worth $30 if you want to try it, but when I want an Iris scent im just gonna stick to Givenchy Gentleman Reserve Privee. Its a perfect Iris fragrance in my opinion.

Thanks for the video! I have been looking to buy DHP recently from FragranceBuy, I wasn't too sure about the FOMO clone. It seems promising but what are the differences between the two? Unfortunately the video doesn't cover that part much.

In the original the difference is apparent early but but becomes a bit closer in mid and early drydown and gapping again into far drydown. The difference is the Ambrette, Rose, Sandlewood, Oud and Leather. Mainly the Ambrette, rose and Oud. Gary's Den is mostly Iris and Sandlewood and some leather. The rose it has is slight, less dense. DHP is denser, the rose deeper, the Ambrette...just overall the notes are more pronounced and higher quality. Definitely to a noticeable degree. Now I will say I tested Alexandra's Leather Intense, DHP and Gary's Den together on 3 strips and the Leather Intense held up much much better. It's about 95+% where Gary's Den is around 70-75% if I'm giving a honest assessment. All three are still detectable 24 hours later when I'm writing this. DHP and Leather Intense in the lead performance wise and within 10% of one another scent wise. Gary's Den smelling around 50% similar at this point.

⚠ Beware guys, it seems that this KZbinr has deleted my previous comment… I repost. “DHP for 37€”. A lie. First, this perfume is only about 80-85% DHP (twist), without the same level of quality. Second, FOMO is a brand from FragranceBuy, a big online seller, meaning Fear Of Missing Out: so this brand just laughs at consumers faces as it uses the name of a psychological bias likely to make people buy compulsively... As well the guy said he bought Gary’s FOMO:: do you really believe FOMO did not offer him ? and he does not say a SINGLE NEGATIVE word about this product....Is it really a review ??. So my advice is that one should not trust this kind of KZbinr, who makes loads of money by misleading people and creating the same kind of contents over and over, while other people die due to poverty and wars in our world… 🙏

DHP is a lipsticky iris with cacao and leather and some woods making it super masculine despite the iris note. DH 2020 has no iris and is very woodsy and citrusy with an aspect of freshness. I have both and to be honest DHP is the best fragrance I’ve ever smelled niche and designer included so I’m going to buy 2 backup bottles in the future 🤣. I also love DH 2020 and DH 2020 is much more versatile and can be worn any time and they’re both very elegant and classy and you can’t go wrong with either one

Your camera is very slow at focusing on items held up close. By the time that the camera has focused, you are already pulling the product back and we don't get enough time to observe the details. Either get a fast focusing camera, or slow down and hold the product up for a longer period of time.
