Dior Homme Sport 2017 Fragrance Review - Is It Any Good?

My most complimented fragrance this year, especially from the ladies. Fresh yet still keeps that dior sophisticated smell in background. Good longevity also.

Bought it last years and it is my first (and only) Dior fragrance. Has been my favorite work scent in the last year. I like it cause, it's fresh and still classy/up-scale to me. I mostly get the grapefruit/orange and sandalwood. I wear it to work (a bit physical)/office/university and even some formal gatherings (church/family reunions). However, in my mind it's to classy for the gym, but I could see it used for a light workout.

I smelled this one when it released and bought it right away. To me it is a mature and powdery freshy and I absolutely love it! It’s a shame that it’s not your cup of tea. I also own and love DH Parfum and Fahrenheit. I really want to smell the ‘08 version now after reading the comments.

I haven't smelled this one, but the 2012 bottle I have is literally the best-smelling cologne I've ever smelled in my life. All the Dior colognes are my favorites but this one is truly unbelievable.

I own both 2012 and 2017 version. the 2012 really belongs to the Homme line cause you still smell and enjoy the Iris note ( which is the main reason behind the popularity of L'Homme line) the 2017 version is very nice scent on its own and has nothing to do with the rest of the line.

This is probably my least favorite from the line, Sport flankers & otherwise. I prefer the 2008 & 2012 sport versions over this one. Still pleasant enough though.

I´m very curious to try the previous versions of this flanker but this time I don´t agree with you because I don´t miss the iris. I find this to be a more artistic and creative take on the original line. To my noise this reminds me of something Chanel has put out....maybe Allure Home Sport or Edition Blanche... I imagine myself wearing this throughout the day and rocking DHP or DHI at night... This is a great flanker, man!

2012 is my favorite Dior Homme Sport, Iris, Citrus and Ginger. Perfect!

I just picked up the big boy bottle myself. It took me a couple of wearings to appreciate the scent. At first it seemed blah to me, but this is the perfect everyday office scent. I don't get any iris myself. This is more sophisticated than the 2008, which is probably the best spot scent of all time. The 2012 had too much iris for a sport scent.

I've had the craziest reactions from females whilst wearing this fragrance. If there were such a thing as a "panty dropper" this is one of them. I don't find it to suit me personally but I like it way more than the 2012 version. I think is underrated.

Exactly! I don't know if I really like it on me, specifically the opening, but girls have complimented me while wearing this.🤷‍♂️ I'll keep wearing it and see if it start liking it the way females around me do. I originally bought it because my older sister said this cologne smelled great to her.

Personally the parfum is the only one from the line that i liked enough to own , but i can easily see how this would appeal to anyone. Great smelling and so easy to wear 👍

Dior Homme Sport 2008 was a great fragrance. I never understood that they reformulated that fragrance. The current 2017 version is just ok. Nothing to shout about. The very cool spray version of Dior Homme sport is nice to wear after a shower.

i love this one....its good to be switch it up. A whole line all having to adhere to iris is sort of ridiculous to me....maybe a few of them is cool, but nothing wrong with a unique take.

Haven't smelled this, but some of the stores in my city are still selling the 2012 version and that is really good. Still has the powdery elements while providing the 'sporty' juicy citrus touch. Based on your description this sounds like Dior Homme Cologne with a little extra depth, which is kinda redundant. Fitting word for what the Dior Homme line is becoming for me. I mean, i don't think there's ever going to be a time where i say 'Oh geez, wish i had DHI as well, not just DHP, because this is totally the time to wear it.' I respect both Dior Homme and the Intense version, but IMO Dior Homme Eau and Parfum are straight up better versions of those.

Sniffed this for the first time today while out Christmas scent shopping and it made the cut. I'll be getting it for one of my sons and maybe Dunhill elite for another, not sure. I really wanted to try Goldfield & Banks' Southern Bloom after seeing your review, but couldn't find it in any stores. Anyway, great review!

This stuff is fantastic I think a great fresh scent with a nice sandalwood base, I believe this was just a way for dior to expand the line and appeal to more people ie. Ones that really hate the Iris thing, giving them the ability to create a new scent maybe 🤔 like dior homme eau if you want a fresh iris scent and im not sure if you have tried that one but its bloody magnificent 👍 P.S thats a huge bottle 😃 and I believe those were not released here in north America the 200ml bottles that is.

For what I can gather you never have the chance to smell the 12 version? that a shame, you would have love it, because the 08 and 12 versions had Iris, and they were more in line with the whole Homme collection. I have had the 3 versions and by far the the one I like the most it's the 12 (I try to use it just a little so it doesn't finish!!). I bought the 17 version last year and I can say it doesn't have anything to do with the previous ones, they could have lunch it with a new name and a new bottle I didn't like it. it was way too sweet and without character IMO.

I detest Dior Homme and Dior Homme Intense (powder, lipstick and coco-puffs bombs) but really like Homme Parfum and love, love, love Dior Homme Sport. To me, the lipstick/powder vibe that repulses me in DH and DHI...just works, and works well, with the Parfum. Moreover, Homme Sport gets is "right" by having only passing tones of the powerful-lipsticks while wrapping it in citruses and that tell-tale Dior DNA. The only caveat is that I'm talking about Dior Homme Sport (2012) and not the (2017) formulation. I've sampled the 2017 version several times, and it's nice enough and somewhat reminds me of the 2012 version, it's not the same so I haven't picked-up a bottle. Instead, I purchased two backup bottles of the 2012 while they were still inexpensive. I've never tried the 2008 version but hope to one of these days. Enjoyed and look forward to your next review.

i love this stuff ...no idea why its just one of those fragrances that lights my candle ,i feel like its a zingy more casual version of grey vetiver ....thank god no iris as i cant stand that in dior homme but if you do i can understand the disappointment for me this just feels like a dry zingy version of creamy allure homme sport ...both perfect and real quality for what they are ,but definitely not a more discreet mature mans scent

My hands down favorite of the line is Dior Homme silver stem. I use my bottle sparingly. Gorgeous blend. Have and love Sport 2008. Will try 2017 eventually. Enjoyed. 👍🏻

I love the 2012 version. It is my favorite Designer fragrance of all time. The 2017 version is okayyish. Of course the iris note is gone, which is quite sad, but I still pick up some elements that are in the 2012 version. The performance on the 2017 version is better though, it lasts and projects for a surprisingly long time on my skin. I'd still take the 2012 version, without even thinking.

2008 is a great fragrance and no semblance of an iris note. The feminine iris lipstick note of 2012 has absolutely no place in a male sport fragrance! Good thing Dior realised that and got back to what a proper fresh sport scent is about.

VERY fair review Sebastian. Wore it a couple of times and remember feeling that it was the most well-blended, boring and generic nonsense on the market. A true disappointment in the line. And then I wore the 2012 edition. Ugh. TANG. It smelled exactly like tang. And not the poon kind. The powdered beverage. It was even worse! I swear, if they make a sport flanker of the reformulated Fahrenheit, I'm gonna scream. lol Dear perfume industry, NO MORE SPORT FLANKERS PLEASE! lol

I used to see the Dior Homme line, including that Sport, at department stores in Los Angeles quite a bit. Not anymore. I've heard rumors that the entire Dior Homme line is being discontinued in the U.S. It wouldn't surprise me.

Did they recently reformulate this fragrence again!? I say this is because, I thought, that blood orange was listed on their website before but now it is essence of citron. I just picked up this frag and the packaging is different so I think they may have changed it a little.

It's in a league of its own when comparing it to the vastly inferior 2012 and 2017 versions. The differences are very significant and they got worse with every reformulation.
