Both of these are so cute. If I were to buy a D-Joy I’d have to go with the Medium. I think it’s more flattering on my curvy figure and it fits a bit more.

hello dear, i'm wondering getting a lady d joy in black ( medium ) but i'm scared about the scratches on the leather ( would use it on a daily basis ) I already have a Lady Dior so I'm aware the charms getting scratches easily. Could give me your honest review about the leather please :D

They use the same leather on the Lady D Joy as a Lady Dior; however, IMO, it doesn’t feel as delicate (maybe bc of the size and the stitching being somewhat closer together, not quite sure). It’s still lambskin leather, so it’s not going to be indestructible but it’s not as delicate as some of my other lambskin pieces from other fashion houses. I think you could use it as an everyday bag, but you’ll likely need to be more mindful when using it if you’re worried about it scratching. I haven’t had any issues with mine, but I rotate my bags/am not using it everyday. Good luck making your decision 🍀✨

Unfortunately, I don't know for sure (since I only have the Medium Lady Dior and not the Medium Lady D Joy); however, I do have both Small versions of the LD and LDJ and the hardware is different (the hardware on the Small LD is slightly larger than the Small LDJ). I'd assume the Medium is the same way...hope that helps ♥️✨

Hi! Do you find this bag to be particularly noisy as in literally the dior charms and hardware making so much noise everytime you pick it up or move your body?

Does it make noise - yes. Does the noise bother me - no. When I’m out and about, I hear the charms ever so slightly; however, I’m normally in louder environments (ie stores, restaurants, gatherings), so it’s not super noticeable. In my mind, it’s no louder than if I jingle a set of keys. Hopefully that’s helpful 😀✨

Yes - it is lambskin. Honestly, the leather has worn really well, with no issues to report thus far. Compared to other fashion houses (mainly Chanel), Dior’s lambskin is pretty good. The only scratches I’ve gotten on it are on the hardware (to be expected though).

Compared to other leathers (like calfskin), it can be more delicate; however, it just comes down to how you use it and being mindful. I’ve been really happy with the quality of Dior lambskin, as I have 3 Lady Dior styles (2 regular and 1 D Joy) and I don’t have any scratches or scuffs on any vs. my Chanel mini, which I feel like gets scratched each time I use it (and I’m not hard on my bags). As for the black color, you can’t go wrong with a black handbag - totally chic, effortless, and classic 😎 (black is my preferred color 🖤✨).

I just went to the store in Milan and inquired about the two sizes. They confirmed that D joy comes in two sizes only and your purple one is called 'small' and your white one is called 'medium'. I find the name misleading because the medium is more like a small to me, it is quite small and narrow and is not deserved to be called Medium. But that is what Dior officially call it.

I think the SA may have been confused - at least here in the states, there are 3 sizes (micro, small, and medium). The micro (the purple one) has 3 complete circle/diamond patterns going across the front (with 2 partials on either side), the small has 5, and the medium has 5 (with 2 partials on either side) - here’s a link to Dior’s website to check them out: www.dior.com/en_us/fashion/bags/lady-d-joy
