I have an anecdote of something that happened to me way back in the early 1960’s: I was about 10 years old as a military dependent in Turkey and Dad bought me a kit that turned out to be lousy, the kit I only remembered just the other day was the Belvedere. Not sure if we ever finished it! Thanks for the memories! I am now 69 and retired.

I bought a rotary tool room Temu last year. It was supposedly rechargeable, but it turned out that it wasn't and it has to be plugged into the USB when used. It is OK for the price and it wasn't worth returning it. I doubt that the vortex mixer you bought will last more than a year. There are many of them available on Amazon, Temu etc, but most of them are junk. I bought a Four E's Scientific vortex mixer for about the same price you paid and it is very good quality. I got mine from Amazon and it came with a spare rubber bit for the top and a pack of stainless balls to add to your paint bottles. It works very well and I use it almost every day.

do a search for "Simulated Moss Lawn for Christmas Decor: Green Plant Lawn, Potted Plant Window Decorative Landscape Design". it's a kind of fake moss that makes for great vegetation like creeping vines or willow trees n stuff like that.

As always, love the content. Very informative. I have given temu a chance following your previous video and look forward to being happily surprised. Most of the issues with temu have been presented by previous comments. However, is this not just another nail in the coffin of brick and mortar shops? As you know I have previously brought from your shop. Surely advertising prices (which I'm sure you are unable to compete with ) counter productive? Yes I'm aware there are other online outlets which can be used instead of B & M. Temu appears to be much cheaper than them! I'm traveling Europe at the moment and buy at least one model in every country from a local shop. Thoughts on a *why you should buy from B & M model shop" video?

True - but as with anything, you need to check prices before you buy. Temu prices do vary too, so one day it may be considerably less than another.

So to those trolls who (like the person who disliked the video before it had even premiered) are insisting on reacting to that fact that this is a video sponsored by Temu..... Channel sponsorships like this help keep the channel going. Disliking the video is not a "stand against the sponsor", it's a strike against me and my channel. If you don't like the sponsor, don't watch, but please at least do me the courtesy of watching the video to see what it says before you judge. By this point I've already taken the sponsorship, your dislike won't change my mind, so try to use reason and logic rather than just reacting like some brainless sheep. If you're not going to use reason, then I don't mind you unsubscribing at all - I'd be uncomfortable with any support from someone so unbalanced and reactionary. If your comments are racist (don't buy Chinese), derogatory (hopefully self-explanatory) or political (comments about communism etc), I'll remove them (if they even get through KZbins screening). I'm fine with discussion about the products, whether or not Temu is a good source of them etc, but if you've a larger point to make, please make it on a outlet dedicated to such things - it will have more impact and make everyone feel better. Sorry for the long post, but after seeing some of the way other creators were treated recently treated in a similarly sponsored video, I thought I'd pre-empt the morons. Aside from that, I wish you all a pleasant watch and many happy Model Moments!
@joshuastrunk11332 ай бұрын
Saying “don’t buy Chinese” isn’t racist in any way, shape or form though, looks more like your trying to avoid any criticism of temu at all, which makes me very curious about the sponsorship language used. Another page I follow also got a similar sponsorship and the first thing I noticed was the responses from the channel owner were pretty canned and tied a very delicate line. Good luck with your sponsorship, but be careful, the response language you and others use may alienate some followers.
@MannsModelMoments2 ай бұрын
@@joshuastrunk1133 I'm not using any "delicate" or "canned" responses - I just can't stand idiots. Saying "don't buy Chinese" without any context does come across as racist - it's negatively singling out a group purely based on race (kind of the definition, actually). In a global economy, basing a purchasing decision like that based on country of origin - when that country produces so many goods used in the West - is dumb. I'm ok to lose subscribers that don't think about how they react - I'm not thirsty enough to need to cow to anyone (including sponsors). As I said here, I'm ok with anyone making a personal decision and discussing why, but I'm not going to allow mindless hate. Anyway, thanks for the comment - I'm happy to clarify my stance and confirm I'm not constrained in what I say here, but as always comments should be reasoned and respectful.
@julianmhall2 ай бұрын
@@MannsModelMoments 100% agreed Alex. Comments such as 'Don't buy X' without any reasoning / justification / context where X is a nationality are racist pure and simple. There are a number of countries currently involved in aggressive military action against neighbours, and others /perceived/ to be in economic opposition to others. Fine.. if a person doesn't like the country's actions it's their prerogative not to buy products made in that country, but /not/ to presume to tell others what to do. All your videos are IMHO honest appraisals of a company / product; in this case it's a paid promotion, and you're honest enough to /say/ it is, so the viewer takes the content of the video in the proper context. It would of course be different if - and you never have nor will - you published a video extolling the virtues of something without saying you had been paid to do so, but you /never/ do that and I don't believe ever will.
@joshuastrunk11332 ай бұрын
@@MannsModelMoments maybe the “don’t buy Chinese” means from the country with their long track records of human rights violations, and the long history they have of copyright and patent infringement (just food for thought) .
@MannsModelMoments2 ай бұрын
@@joshuastrunk1133 I appreciate that, and completely understand those concerns, but without context none of those points come through. Saying this on a sponsored model video will do nothing to change that, hence why I said the commentary should be directed elsewhere. It also doesn't deflect from the global reliance on Chinese manufacturing, nor the poor treatment of workers in other countries - including in the US and UK. Again, as I mentioned, I've no problem with individual's choices, but if you're making a point, make it in the right place and in the right way, otherwise it's just "pissing in the wind" as they say!

@MannsModelMoments2 ай бұрын
So despite my request for intelligence and reason, the idiots are commenting anyway...as I mentioned before, stupid remarks like this will be removed if there's no other context or argument behind them. Saying this adds nothing, it's like saying "Don't vote for " - it's useless. Without the why, there is nothing other than a personal statement. So try again, and this time engage your brain before writing....

Great video Alex.. personally I viewed this video as a review of the /products/ you bought rather than the /retailer/, and usual your comments I think were fair.
