it is 3d, usage of cel shading looks pretty great now. either way, it looks great

@@melon9285 I’m sorry, but I just disagree that this is 3D. I don’t doubt that there could be uses of 3D in the making of this, but cel shading does not just magically create lines where you’d like them to, especially in such an abstract and artistically intentional way that this MV depicts. Cel shading is indeed better these days, but not exactly in this way

@@AlexisAlexander646 same I have no idea how they did it but if it was me I’d draw it (2D) then warp the images the way I wanted in 3D then take those warped images (they’re probably blurry but approximately clear from the linework whats happening) and go back over and re-draw the warped images nice and detailed by hand. End result is 100% 2D but assisted by 3D rendering.

本当に、この曲が好きです。 うまく言語化するのが苦手な自分の心情をこんなにも的確に表してくれている。 外には嫌なこと苦しいことが沢山あるから、だったらずっとひとりで部屋にいればいい。そうしたら辛いことなんて何も無い。その代わり楽しいこと嬉しいことも何も無い。 でもそれでいい。辛いことがないなら、楽しいこともなくていい。 この先の人生にどれだけいい事があろうとも、生きる希望にはなり得ない。それが辛いことを大きく上回るくらいにいい事だとしても、それがどれだけ素敵な出来事だろうと、辛いこともあるのなら飛んだ方がマシって思ってしまう。 これは世にいう人を救う曲(明るく背中を押すような応援歌)では無いと思う。けれど自分はこの曲に救われました。今はまだ何も解決はしてないけれど、それでも音楽というコンテンツで自分のモヤモヤドロドロした暗いところに寄り添ってくれたこの曲に、とても救われました。ありがとう。

the animation reminds me so much of tetsuo’s transformation in akira. it’s so organic and fluid in the way that fungus growing is organic and fluid. it’s like watching a time-lapse of slime mold. even if i didn’t understand the lyrics, the music and the animation really hit in a weird way. good job guys! i love your work.
