Can I just say, this is incredible! 😄💕 Every one of these illustrations use these wiggly lines. All those (intentionally) imperfect lines helps to make the drawing feel more alive; there's this buzzing, busy, lively feeling that comes from looking at your drawings for a while. It all just feels so human. I've wanted to be an illustrator for a while, over any other kind of artist; illustrators, they capture these little moments, telling stories without uttering a single word- and I think that you sir, are a perfect example of this. A part of me wants to join these strange creatures in their little perfectly imperfect world. (I think I am a bit of a strange creature, myself.) Thank you for the upload, watching this before studying was a great idea. 😊👍✨ Also that one diagonal flat brush you used looks so useful- TLDR: Nik Henderson epik frfr

You seem to jump around and work on different parts a lot, but I can't quite tell if that's just the editing. Are you letting parts dry before returning to them?

Why do you prefer to use illustration board by the time that you don't colour your illustrations with multiple heavy washes? Illustration board is harder to scan in parts on A4 flatbed scanners like the one that you are using. I have a similar Epson scanner, the V33 model and it is tricky to scan larger illustrations on heavier paper or board unless I go for the exact A4 size that fits on the A4 scanner.

@@creativecolours2022 I use it because it’s easier for me to store and ship. I also really dislike when my paper warps when painting so I like a thicker board. I actually find board easier to work with when scanning because it doesn’t bend, making digital “stitching” easier.

​@@Henderverse Good evening there in Misouri. :) I asked because I don't see you painting with such heavy washes in order to have any warping issues. The way you are colouring your illustrations looks more like tinting to me. Very very light washes. I personally find more difficult to stitch the partial scans of heavier paper, let alone illustration board because heavier papers and boards are not flexible enough to fit well on the area between the edge of the scanner's glass and the plastic frame that holds the glass. I mean this groove thing that Epson scanners have between the plastic frame and their glass. And that is the reason why I have to crop all the parts before stitching them together and then overlap the one partial scan with the other. I can't imagine how you manage to scan illustration board on this type of scanner. You'll have to show me. :)
