Love the marble! I would suggest that you top all with a third clear powder layer. That way it, in a sense, encapsulates the first two layers and then there is no worry of filing off any design 😊

I never got into the dip powders for myself but I have a few great ones from Young Nails (slick pour) that look amazing, the colors are gorgeous and they are super pigmented; you can also apply them with gel so I can and will try this design.

These are so cute, I love dip manicures 💅🏻❤ A tip for a longer lasting, quicker drying, smoother shine is to apply the activator again after buffing, then take a lint free wipe and rub it into each nail. Apply the top coat, and wipe the brush onto a paper towel each time before you put it back into the bottle. I can't help but notice one side of your face looks very swollen, I hope you are ok love.

Just a plain paper towel? I haven’t tried this yet, and I have so many issues with brushes seizing up. Would the no lint wipe have alcohol on it? I tried an alcohol wipe last time and it helped a little bit. I’ve tried so many things but I love dip nails!

Really good tip: I use actual gel top coat (cured with a UV lamp) as the very last step when I do dip powder nails instead. I do not use the top coat given in the sets. UV Gel top coat makes it last longer and you don’t have to wait for it to dry. It’s also a lot shinier and perfect looking!

@@Nailcou what hypoallergenic nail products do u recommend??? Im allergic reaction to alot of base and top coats??? Ive been doing my nail for 15 yrs + and barely now just had a allergy to nail products very strange!!! Alot of nail techs dont talk about allergies!!!🤣🤣🤣

Wow! Beautiful! I have always had issues with dip systems. Especially with extra thickness where I don’t want it and…it’s very hard to add a c-curve. So, I have stayed away from them. But, this really makes me want to try it again!!

It's all about HOW you do it, acrylic, polygel or gel nails are all pretty strong if balanced correctly

@@Nailcou it's not as common as the first commenter days. It doesn't affect "most" people who get dip nails. It's basically an allergic reaction to the materials in the dip powder and/or the different liquid steps. It's called dip flu because the allergic reaction makes you have flu-like symptoms.

The cuticle area does not look good, and it is not your fault, but the dip system's. Too much work, too poor results, and on top of all this the horror of removing it when it is time for new nails.

I agree. The cuticle area is almost always a mess in my opinion. It’s not a clean look.

Dip is easy once you get the hang of it.cuticle area is fine when one uses a cuticle stick or watermarble tool around the cuticle edge before base dries.I have done dip for years and get many compliments.it’s all in how one does it.there is a learning curve. I have learned to apply full cover gel tips,use builder gel,builder in a bottle,nail art,apply nail foils ,water slide decals .

I did notice that the base brush had got stray hairs sticking up at the tip, so as Anastasia was trying to get a clean line, this stray hair kept hitting the cuticle.

A lot of people who use dip powder will use “peel base”, this will allow you to pop off the dip powder instead of time consuming soaking or filing off.
