I feel like this was either the accuracy of the guns or the accuracy of the AI using the guns, cuz it felt like the German Paks were hitting way more of their shots.

The Soviet 76mm guns were less accurate than the German Paks so the Soviets would have survived better with even 2 added guns to account for their inaccuracy.

Wanna say the 85mm's died faster because they had no front shield to protect the crew. You can see them getting picked off from machine gun fire.

the truth is the 85mm weren't even able to shoot because there are blocks that block their way and many of the shells just bounce off on them, this map is not good, and it needs to be corrected

Just a quick pointer for future battles but the zis-3 guns although similar calibre are not as effective as the pak 40's, i believe the zis -2's would be much more comparable in terms of penetration . also the 88 have a much faster fire rate ,by the book , then the 85mm and im fairly certain had much more penetration then them aswell .

Just so you know, the Soviets did have a howitzer close in size to the 15cm sIG 33. It was the 152mm gun-howitzer ML-20. Additionally, they had a 37mm AA gun in the form of the M1939 (61-K). Perhaps you could re-do this situation with these guns put in place, if they are available? Also the ZiS-3 was not as effective as the PaK-40, and its equal in terms of power would be the 57mm ZiS-2. Just a tip for the future! A few other things: "obr" is short for "obrazets", meaning "model" or "pattern". This is used to designate the version of a weapon or vehicle, such as the 45mm 21-K obr. 1932. Those BT-looking tanks in the second wave were exactly that: captured BT-5 fast tanks.

A reason that german static weapons were more effective than the russians' is that they had to be, it a tank isnt knocked out quickly, the position would soon get overwhelmed

So a Buetepanzer is the German’s equivalent of a trophy tank, so that is a captured BT-7. And there were a small number of sherman buetepanzers on the eastern front, possibly from lend lease act or captured on the western front and redeployed to the east.

Are there no short 152mm howitzers in Gates of Hell? Also I do think that the 85mm is closer to the ground that the 88. That combined with the lack of the shield gave them a hard time in round 2. I doubt it´s the firepower since those guns were the prefered weapon against panzer 4s durring 41... While loaded with HE btw, because it was still high velocity enough to pen that paper armor and AP went straight out the other end.

The engagement distance of the German attackers were much further and the Armor started engaging much sooner than the Soviets did. probably has to do with Superior optics.

A little to the question of weapons. The war played a cruel joke on the Soviet Union. In those years, the country of the Soviets was still rebuilding its economy (one might say it was building from scratch), thousands of heavy industry facilities had already been built and widespread electrification had been done. However, the rearmament program was lagging behind due to a rather important component. This component was the chemical industry. Gunpowder for anti-tank guns was produced in insufficient quantities, and the one that was not of the best quality. All possible forces and resources were thrown into the construction of more or less suitable for production enterprises. And closer to the beginning of 1943 they managed to do it.
