@@hwt-ka-pth Very nice. I had a 4 hour layover in Amsterdam many years ago. Had a chance to explore the city for a couple of hours. Such a peaceful & beautiful place! I loved how their were more bicycles than cars & it seemed like every other block had a river running down the middle. I was with 1 of my other buddies on our way back to Iraq from the US. We broke off from the main group that just hung out at the airport & went and found a "cafe" and got super stoned lmao. It was just a group of about 12 of us coming back from 2 weeks of leave back home & we knew them all well so they didn't give a crap we got stoned lmao
@hwt-ka-pth5 жыл бұрын
@@ReaperKezia Haha you're right, there are some 25 million bicycles on a population of 17 million.. Layovers are always shit but delighting to hear you've had a good time in our capital, as in many ways it isn't what it used to be anymore. It indeed has got some nice parts left like the architecture and the lots of water it's build upon, and some shops still sell the good organic stuff :p but for the more impressive quality, as well for a more authentical/genuine 'Dutch experience' I'd highly recommend travelling to (the lesser touristic) cities more inland, when you happen to have the chance. I also like to visit America one time (as I'd like to do Iraq mainly for it's historical remains, but I presume you aren't for holiday?) with at least an excursion to the surroundings of most of Stephen King's novels. I live here in the south-eastern province, and much of his described landscapes always remind me of my own region of Limburg

@CFMaximus5 жыл бұрын
The last track is particularly incredible. Consider its title, "Faint Burning Glimmer in the Mesozoic Sky." This is going to tell us a story. The story of the end of the dinosaurs. It begins with sampled grunts and screeches conveying that this is a day much like any other. Dinosaurs are going about their business devouring primordial fruits and grasses and other dinosaurs. But something is a little off about their vocalizations. There is a tense foreboding present, as if the dinosaurs themselves can sense what's coming. The sparse yet ominous synthesized chord progression enhances this feeling. Then the percussion slams into action while at the same time, the lead synth plays a sudden tragic anthem for what is to come. The percussion is fast-fast compared to what we've heard so far from this album's previous tracks. It subverts our expectations. There is a sense of urgency. Time is running out. Human tribal chants are thrown into the mix. Primitive humans, celebrating the unmaking of their furtive mammalian ancestor's cold-blooded overlords, hearkening a future of warm-blooded domination. We're near the end now. Dinosaur grunts return, competing with the humans. This time they almost seem blissfully ignorant. That earlier foreboding in the synths has given way to pure majesty. It feels as if the song could continue for a few more bars. It doesn't. It's cut by an explosion-a crescendo of destruction, and then... silence. The reign of the dinosaurs ended all too soon. Much like this album. Pure. Musical. Genius.

I read that this project’s intent is to give you the feel of antiquated dinosaur depictions and media. To give you the image of a tail dragging T. rex, featherless raptors, dinosaurs are less like animals and more like monsters with more mystery than proven science about them. You may even imagine primitive man sneaking about avoiding the clutches of a greatly mismatched time period prehistoric creature You can hear the “monster”/unscientific dinosaur noises sampled in this

This rattles me to the core I slip into an utter state of subconscious. It's quite strange. I'm right here, sitting, staring blankly into a wall. But my pupils have dilated and my mind has been transported to a different era. I can feel every vibration, every bone rattling frequency as the behemoths blare. I..-I have only seen their mere skeletons, dead remains. But somehow, they're right before me, fleshed out. These imposing brutes. The sheer primal strength and might their forms radiate just overburdens my mind. The tyrants of a by gone era are here. And they're coming for me.
