I dont know if you forgot, but the tattoo on Stanley's back happened when he was fighting Ford. Its more of a scar than a tattoo Also the the island monster its talking in reverse. Its says something along the line of: "You awaken me from my slumber, enter my mouth children, its your destiny." The only part of the whole that gave me chills.

There's also a comic that is canon, it's called "Gravity Falls: Lost Legends" in which they tell 4 stories that were not taken to TV, but it's so good that it is like watching any other episode of the show, it's difficult to react to that because it's a comic, but it's worth telling you in case you're interested in reacting to it, it's probably narrated on KZbin.

These shorts also had two codes in them, broken into pieces and needing to be rearranged to form... "I WAS SO BLIND. HE LIED TO ME. THE DARKNESS IS NEAR." and "FROM THE FIRST UNTIL THE LAST SEARCH THE CODES OF CREDITS PAST ONE MEANS ONE SO SEARCH THEM ALL WELCOME TO GRAVITY FALLS."
