Dir En Grey - Conceived Sorrow | Always amazes me! {Reaction}

Sorry this comment's gonna be a long one but Dir En Grey is amazing and it's difficult not to praise the hell out of them. I've been a huge Dir En Grey fan since 2006 and it's crazy to think back and remember how unfocused Kyo often was on stage. He could always sing well but he was often a spectacle of chaos and leaned more into theatrics rather than giving a lot of effort with his voice live. I believe it was around the time of Dum Spiro Spero when the shift began and their evolution as a band ascended a higher level. Kyo became a beast driven by sheer will power to make it through a vocal chord surgery and to come back better than ever and still continues to improve not just as a vocalist, but he's also become a full fledged artist in multiple mediums. Anyway if you want to see Kyo display the rawest performance driven by his commendable willpower you should check out the live performance of Decayed Crow the symphonic version from 2011. Kyo was sick as fuck and very clearly suffering the whole show and frustrated his voice wasn't cooperating with him. But for the last song they played Decayed crow and he literally gave it everything he had left in him. I think he was even hospitalized after the performance he pushed himself so hard. You never see anything like it from anyone else and that's why he's hands down my favorite vocalist

I still think you'd like The Insulated World overall (and I know you guys already did Uroboros and DSS). The first two songs on the album are pure heavy and even the ballads have heavy guitars. From their older albums I think some songs like Repetition of Hatred (specifically this performance: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gXjHk3xretytec0) might pique your interest. There's a live performance now of Schadenfreude (from their newest album) - if you liked Diabolos and Vinushka you would like that one. Performance is flawless also.
