This version is so far above the original studio version that it's on a another planet. Absolutely sublime. There are not many bands who sound as good, let alone better, live than in the studio - Pink Flloyd, Thin Lizzy, Queen, and Dire Straits were among the few who left their studio work in their wake when they went live, and I don't think we will ever see their like again.

When the band was recording Money for Nothing on a tropical island, Mark said that for the backing vocals, he wish Sting was there because he'd sound great here. Actually, he was there on the island vacationing, showed up, and helped make one of the most iconic MTV era songs happen. STING SPAWNED ON MARK'S COMMAND!!! Shows you that when great artists let divine creativity flow, things fall into their place. That's why it's easy for them when creating, they are allowing it rather than forcing it. The hard part is getting into the state.

I love this song. On the surface it doesn’t seem romantic. Not a traditional love song. A bit ruff and trivial. But as you listen to the lyrics you see the hidden beauty of this song, like the characters who grew up on the wrong side of town. Romeo is a diamond in the rough. He fell in love with Juliette and his tough exterior faded away into a romantic poet singing underneath her window. The lyrics are absolutely beautiful and deep like Romeo underneath a tough exterior.
