Love your channel! I have 3 different colored (black, wolf gray and dark camo) Direct Action Dragon Egg MKII. They are some great packs out and I have a lot from TAD, Maxpedition, Vertx, Vanquest, RuckSac, etc. but I always find myself going back to DA. I think camo in 2022 is like "Hiding in Plain Sight"..lol.. Now a days camo is accepted as more of a fashion statement rather than tactical so in a way it is hiding in plain site ...Not gray man...Camo Man...lol.. Thanks again for a great review!

I've been watching this channel for a while now, I was trying to see which edc bag I should save up for, then I found this channel with lots of useful info and reviews, which saved me a ton of time. Good review. I've had the Mk I version for 4 years and I can't recommend it enough. Far as I'm concerned the problem with it is that after years of use _it shows no signs of wear whatsoever_ , so I can't pretend that I have any need for a new one (so I bought a Ghost instead.)

I have the dragon egg. Nice small day pack for commuting. Not a fan of the rubber coating to the zip pulls, and don't like the paracord grab handle. Other than that, Direct Action make really good quality gear. Thanks for the review George.

Great videos George. This one looks right up my alley with a mix of outdoors, office, and blue collar everyday. Your doubly right about those skinny straps if you are carrying two water bladder like it can (which is great). Water is heavy and a bag that can carry that much water/weight should have the best straps it can.

Great pack, i love the camo design!! its stylish man!!! i think the gohst pack its for like taller guys because it looks thiner than the dragon egg but taller, and the 31lt are including the detachable pouch that its outside without it it would be a 27 or 25 but in a taller version than the dragon egg Cheers mate!

Great review, George. The Dust was the first pack I got from DAG (Direct Action Gear). Really liked the design and features, but it was a bit small on me -- I'm 6'1, 210 lbs. Gave it to my girlfriend -- who's 5'1 -- and it fits her perfectly. I pulled the trigger on the Dragon Egg, and it's ideal for my height/weight. Amazing day hike bag! And I like their awesome variety of colors: scored the Pencott Badlands camo color. Great for the dry hills of So Cal. Overall, DAG is def an above average gear company. My only critique is that their three packs -- Dust, Dragon Egg, and Ghost -- are too close in size. 20L is good for the Dust. But the Dragon Egg is far too similar to the Dust (capacity is only 5L more than the Dust); should be 30-35L. And their Ghost should be a full-on "3 day assault pack" -- instead of 30L, they should go with a 45-50L capacity. My 2 cents.

Actually, "25L" of Direct Action Dragon Egg is as big as Rush 24 (which is 35L). It's actually a big backpack to see in person.

While camo may not immediately mark you as a target like some gray man enthusiasts like to say, it's still nicer to have a pack that's more on the inconspicuous side of things. Especially so if you're the kind of person to EDC things like a laptop or other valuable gear.
