A quick question, is this topic common in IB exams? Can i still get a 5 without actualy knowing how it works?

It depends on how your exam itself goes. Yes, these show up often enough to be worth studying, but remember that modelling is just about using the same skills (finding the function at x=0, finding it at a specific point, and then usually you use it to predict something or you're needing to solve for x, given some initial condition). Trust yourself - you'll do great on the exam, I know it! :)

Hi! Just wanted to ask, in the question about 5G, why did you do the equation as i = k/x^2, when the generic equation is k/x^n? What im trying to ask is where did the ^2 come from? It is the -2 in the question? Thank you, your videos are my saving grace!!!!

It can be any exponent, I just used an x^2 for the example :)

I have a question. When you have done I2 divided by I1, why do you do I2= I1/16? Thank you!

Ah, because I2/I1 = (1^2 / 4^2) = 1 / 16
