Ever thought of using iron filings from a brake disk/drum lathe? I'd think that any brake service would give all of that to you that you might want, and you could put in a predetermined amount of iron in your flux and present the maximum surface area for reaction in any given ore that you are smelting.

what is the price of sand in your area? recently, sand becomes expensive products worldwide, especially those don't contain salts. ie sea sand after wash. and you have tons of it. talk to your local construction builders, they may be interesting to your cache of sand and small and unique size stones. probably make some money to foot the fuel cost too.

You mentioned the magnetic belt before the hammer mill , but no detail , is it practical to remove magnetics ? Thanks again
@uncommonlogic16983 жыл бұрын
Removing as much base metals as possible is always beneficial. Wet refining it is a must! More base metals the higher the cost of refining!

@pappawheely3 жыл бұрын
@@KD0CAC I think there may be nano gold trapped in the magnetics
@xenaguy013 жыл бұрын
@KD0CAC Not a magnetic belt, a magnetic feed system. The feed rate is controlled by -magic- magnetics. In this system, it is not necessary to remove magnetics. That is all done on the shaker table. The table separates by density, and gold is 6-8 times heavier than sand, 5-6 times heavier than magnetic sand, 3-5 times heavier than steel. The table washes all the lighter stuff into the #3 and #4 ports, and the heaviest stuff (mostly gold) go in the #1-#2 ports.
@uncommonlogic16983 жыл бұрын
@@KD0CAC it's not stating the obvious, nor is it obvious. I do recall it was you who asked a very broad question. My answer was spot on to your question. You failed to ask a good question. I am a wise man who always admits mistakes, I am sorry and I was wrong that you are offended at my attempt to teach you something. Just keep in mind, the answer to your question may have not been for just you. The whole point of MBMM sharing videos is to educate, the point of process is to experiment and learn.

Love your work Jason. Did you come up with the system to extract the gold from the ore? Or is this basically the process for everyone who recovers gold this way?
@artsmith1033 жыл бұрын
Pretty typical general setup but the devil is in the details and Jason's group has demonstrated tremendous ability in metallurgy, machinery, and process settings. Screen sizes, gpm, feeder rate, table tuning are all a project unto themselves even if someone gave you all this equipment. Mistakes lead to the gold going to one of the waste streams or the concentrate being filled with tailings.
