Do you want slightly extra returns from your mutual fund? Well, you could look at the Direct Plan of Mutual Funds. Now, you have the option of investing in a Regular Plan of a Mutual Fund or a Direct Plan of a Mutual Fund. The ‘Direct Plan' and 'Regular Plan’ are both part of the same mutual fund scheme, have the same portfolio and are managed by the same fund manager, Except they have different expense ratios. Every mutual fund scheme has two plans - Direct and Regular plans. You may choose to invest in mutual funds with the help of a Mutual Fund distributor/agent in what is termed as a ‘Regular Plan’. Consequently, you may choose to invest directly with the AMC/Mutual Fund House without the help of intermediary/mutual fund agent through the ‘Direct Plan’.

Why Direct plan NAV is higher than Regular plan. Direct plan main quantity kam aayegi. Isse profit kam hoga. Ex. SBI Long term equity Regular Nav - 324 and Direct plan Nav - 348. It's huge difference. Please advice me

If u have zero idea about mutual fund then you will definitely ask for help. And in market agents or Brokers are their to help you with higher expanse ratio that. They will open your mutual fund through regular plan. Or if u have enough idea about mutual fund then invest directly without broker.

First thing you should do is to come out from delusion that small cap will make you wealthy in long run. Start with only one simple nifty index fund or an aggressive hybrid fund. Try your best to increase your income now and don't bother too much about mutual fund for the time being.
