Love the video! There is actually since 2019 an Antidot for Factor Xa inhibitors, called Andexanet alpha, which is a Factor X fragment, that competitively inhibit the binding of anticoagulants to Factor Xa.

We had a patient overdosed with a huge amount of eliquis(a couple of dozens at least). He was bleeding heavily with minor cuts when shaving. The doctor ordered PT/INR, PTT. I was like "it is not gonna work because it is an Xa inhibitor......but fine. We will do it. There is no loss for the pt except a little bit amount of blood. He probably lost more in this shaving activity......" Amazingly, the lab came back, showing the time was prolonged. I was like "what???!!!". That pt got lots of education from every nurse every day when he was hospitalized.

I'm not sure how far, or how near is my question in relation to the current topic, but I'll still ask. I've been having problems that include: join pain, GERD, abdomen swelling, overall numbness, brain fog, dry eyes(hella red) and mouth(it burns), dry scaly and red skin(the redness is conditioned by the position of extermities, if I have my hands up, it pretty much disappears, if down, then it starts to swell and is red again -- does not affect scaling and dryness), shortness of breath, as well as extreme fatigue. Did a bunch of tests. Blood tests' came sort of fine(decreased MPV, PDW, and IG -- increased Mono). My thyroid is k. Liver, only has decreased ALT. IgE is elevated(1616 IU/ml), had done tests and I'm only allergic to mites(d pteronyssinus). Haven't done allergy tests only for mold/fungi. Ana came positive though. 1:320. The thing is, as I did specific ANA, as well as more specific antibodies for SSc and Dermatomyositis/Polymyositis, and every antibody there wasn't in a concentration high enough to be considred as positive( I did Sm/RNP, Sm, SSA, RO-52. SS-B. PM-Scl, Jo, CB, PCNA, DNA, NUC, KU2, Mi-2, Hi, RIB, DFS70, PDGFR, Th/To, PM100, PM75, NOR90, Fib, RP1, RP155). Currently doing Lupus Anticoagulant test. So here's my question. Is there anything I can do to get a diagnosis? This range of testing cost me a shitton of money, the symptoms are getting worse pretty much on a weekly-to-monthly basis, and I'm on the verge of mental collapse. Would be grateful for an advise from your perspective.

I’m doing a trial for a new anticoagulant that inhibits FXIa and i want to know why they theorise it’s better than FXa. Would really appreciate your explanation! It’s a new drug coming out so your video would be very educational as FXIa videos are so limited on youtube.
