Sir i have a suggestion regarding this question you have done Find the derivative of f(x, y) = x ^ 2 + xy at P(1,2) in the direction of unit vector 1/(sqrt(2)) hat i + 1 sqrt 2 hat j .the partial derrivative of F(x, y) with respect to y is x not y and the answer is 5/root 2.(7:30)

In first question the partial derivation of x²+xy in terms of y should be (x) jcap and y . Then answer will be 4i+j
