8:45 you're absolutely right but i think for most performance vers of songs they want to focus less on visuals and more on the choreo so they tend to have as minimal movement and cuts as possible, also they filmed this in moroco so like you said they didn't have a big budget and actually their company KQ is a very small company they were the first trainees ever, they went bankrupt debuting them and even in treasure mv you can see a tourist in the background lol

This was filmed in Morocco and was definitely MV on a budget. They used places they didn’t have to pay for. In Treasure there are people in the MV but the couldn’t afford to reshoot. Their choreo is meant to mimic a ship and the movement of the ship.

Yes exactly. I think they were millions in debt (the company) and also did a lot of their promoting (performing at schools, cutting songs to almost nothing to get a spot on tv shows etc) on almost no budget as well. they are extremely hard workers which is why they moved up so fast. One of their choreographers Steezy, talks about that quite a bit. That’s why they are the the first boy group outside the big 4 companies to have an album sell more then a million copies in its first week.

People in chat who are comparing Ateez's roots to BTS's roots know nothing about BigHit's history, or about Bang SiHyuk, founder of BigHit and co-founder of JYP, and household name since 1994. BTS did NOT come up from nothing, and BigHit was not some poor, unknown company. They were well-known in the industry because they had (and still have) very successful solo artists, and several of JYP's 2nd gen artists bounced back and forth between both companies. JoKwon even got his very first pair of heels from Bang Pd. The only reason BTS was as poor as they were is because BigHit took major reputation and finance hits from the major scandal their big sister group GLAM had. They weren't destitute. They didn't have to use free sets. They didn't have to carry the burden of being the company's first group, and thus, make a name for the entire company. Their stories are entirely different. Learn some kpop history before you start drawing parallels.

Tbh, I sometimes enjoy a "simple" video with two or three concepts, - (for all groups.) I can get overwhelmed by twelve locations, costume changes, , lighting, special effects, camera angles, colours, concepts...all moving at breakneck speed. Especially if the song itself is fast and loud. It's almost as if they're trying to pack as much as they can into one video. For me, it takes away from the singing and the amazing dancing KPop is known for. And it doesn't help when I'm trying to figure out who's who, if they never focus one member for than 15 seconds 😒 Felix I know, but i can't remember which group he's from. But I'll get there. Maybe I should focus on one group at a time. I'm an Army who's just starting to listen to other groups. I've loved everything I've heard so far! 🙂 Roscoe, you're hilarious and full of energy! Something you've never really talked about (when I've watched, anyway, maybe you have), do you ever take any of the things you get excited about, to work? I'm not exactly sure what your job is, but wouldn't it be cool to have a KPop inspired video?!! Or would you get fired? Another question for you...why does it seem like you have three screens to look at? What is on each one? And.. I appreciate it when you read a lot of the comments from the chat, out loud. Sometimes you'll be laughing your head off...and I'm wondering ..what? what did they say? I only have a phone, and the comments are Way Too Small to read.
