Awich has such a unique and tragic background. She’s born in Okinawa, where there used to be a different country / kingdom, which makes Okinawa culture so special and unique. She grew up with American culture as well because of the US military base in Okinawa, then she went to the US and got married to American guy. But her husband was incarcerated and got murdered after he got out of prison. Then she moved back to Japan with her daughter. The girl in the video is her actual daughter. She showcased beautiful traditional Okinawa music and dance in this MV, with 300 local dancers

you should check out more Awich - she's amazing. RASEN in OKINAWA and GILA GILA for example. In the intro, her spiky armor represents the japanese sun goddess Amaterasu by the way

Finally!! I've been waiting so long for someone to react to The Union. This song is actually kinda like a Part 2 to another track called "Queendom" which is definitely worth checking out too. Also check out the live performance of The Union from her Queendom ~The Union~ concert. Beautiful performance and amazing energy.

I didn't know anything about her until I saw this video. Thank you Roscoe!. A rich Okinawan taste that overflows at the end of the song. If she had released this song six years earlier... I would have liked her to be the opening act for the Tokyo Olympics 2020 (actually held in 2021). I am Japanese. I can clearly hear every word of her rap, and I think her rhymes are very beautiful. I think I'll be listening to this song all day today.

We are collecting some powerful young queens out here. I love so much the fact that they are standing up and speaking truth and pushing for change. Love it.

Last month, one ok rock and Awich performed a concert together at the Beruna Dome in Saitama Prefecture. This was the first song performed by Awich at that time. It's really powerful to see her live! Taka also praised Awich🤘 The audience was most excited when they sang oneokrock's mighty long fall song together 🔥 Please continue with reactions to Awich 'rasen in okinawa'.

Loving the "Hottie Couture". Not into the rap, but the poetry of this song is wonderful.

Nice lyrics. I was only partially watching while doing dishes, but that end shot of her in white in the center of the group reminded me of Jimin's Set Me Free Pt. 2.

This song is so good! But oh jeez that is a yikes take at the end of the video... People have been saying "kids these days have it so easy" since at least the beginning of recorded human history, and probably even before that. It has never been true, especially not in the time frame of one generation to the next lmao. Also neither end of the spectrum is good or helpful. Being too sheltered is its own kind of pain, and makes the pains you aren't prepared for even worse. But going through too much struggle leaves you traumatized and disabled. Panic attacks don't exactly help you move through life more easily, you know... What is important is having good stability and support, and guided, constructive opportunities for growth and challenge. It's like exercise- yes it's important and necessary, but you build up your strength with healthy routines and gradual increases in difficulty. Otherwise you could tear a muscle.
