Just to add one thing. This is a mixture of Dracula, Interview with a Vampire and Thriller. Everyone keeps thinking it is a dream. If you take a close look at her neck at the end, you can see the bite marks. She was the journalist going for the interview. She got a little more than she bargained for.

Oh very well spotted! I'd been tossing possible scenarios around as to whether it was a dream or whether he'd sent her back because he wanted her to remain human so she could redeem him - which I felt matched the lyrics of the song better. Of course like all great storytellers he left it a little bit open to question, but your sharp eyes have provided the clue. Bravo. The whole thing is brilliant and really should be up for awards.

It took me a couple of watches but I get it now! She is a journalist and interviewed Dimash (the scenes where she has the notebook and the recorder, and he is sitting in front of her with a microphone). On her way home some time later, she falls asleep and dreams about him, and about going over to his home. When she startles awake in the car, she sees her interview with him on the front page of the paper. She is the "unknown journalist", and is entranced by him.

This package is a lot to unpack. He is creatively fecund. And as a human being he is deep and soulful and he is also playful, with a good sense of humor. I have never heard of Dimash before KZbin decided to add this to my feed I wasn’t expecting much, but OMMFG!… Blown aways not a strong enough term, it’s definitely a mash up of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Originals/Interview With The Vampire, but I don’t care he took their concepts & ran with it, because he absolutely did the ideas justice & then some. Had to edit to add Total Eclipse Of The Heart, old I know, but it’s vibing that to me & I just realized, what the female character reminds me of Sookie in True Blood, when her hairs down, she looks SO similar! I still don’t care he took different aspects from different books, movies, tv etc etc, if I was them I’d feel bloody chuffed at how he brought them back to life… pun intended ;) I hope he puts out more songs like this, as it’s a genre I love & I’ve already bought this on iTunes so I can blast it louder & not lose the quality of the sound, because omg his voice is extraordinary, artists everywhere try to hit just ONE of these notes in the song, let alone belt them out like this. Я думаю, что Димаш с юмором снял фильм про свои отношения с dears😂. С самого начала я вижу юмористическое отношение к себе как Вампиру - это и фон - вывеска SMALL (сеть гипермаркетов в Казахстане), и киношная машинка, и музыка в начале, и образы такие голливудские, и все клише, которые обычно используются в американских фильмах. И, конечно же, финал. Димаш снял фильм про свои любовные отношения со зрителями. Если внимательно прочитать текст, то видно, что видео снято намеренно смешно

The lyrics are very well choosen. “I feel alone on this side” for him being immortal. Also “ gateway to heaven” him being hell bound, she s his way of finding “heaven”. Also he mentions that again with “a slice of heaven”. Also the visuals, suggests how he enchants women for “slices of heaven”. Also, a reference for “gateway” is the window like frame where she and him stood several times. You can see mostly her in a red LED light, after he enchanted her, he goes inside the frame with a blue light, suggesting “heaven”. Also another very suggestive scene is where he stand behind her on the chair and pulls her head upwards, instead of seeing him, she sees a statue sculpture, suggesting he s nothing but a mirrage. Also someone mentioned bcs I failed to notice, but at the end si actually got biten by the neck. Is just a rollercoaster of a masterpiece. I vr never seen such a caliber since MJ MV. He is just nuts, vocal wise and producing wise. Such a fathom phenomenon

This is, Dimash is, amazing. It was like an entire movie soundtrack in under 10 minutes - all him 😁. The opening opera, smoothly gliding into the slave spirituals, and 2 movie references that I hope nobody gets mad at. His accent in one part reminded me of Madeline Kahn's Lili von Shtupp from Blazing Saddles, and as he sang "your are my gateway to heaven" I could only hear Georges Guétary as Henri Baurel in An American in Paris singing "I'll build a stairway to Paradise With a new step ev'ry day "😄😄. When he transitions to his demon voice, totally took me to Hadestown. Such a fun, rockin' MV that has ya "whoa" & "wwoooowww" a LOT! Thanks for the reaction, Roscoe! Glad you enjoyed it as much as I did! Edit: Thanks to those for correcting me regarding the opening duet. I assumed it was Dimash at the beginning, as so many others far more familiar with his work had mentioned in their comments. Guess that's how rumors spread 😁.

@@pz48128 The opera intro is actually a 1915 recording by two Russian singers of "the "Flower Duet" from Delibes' opera 'Lakme'. It's on KZbin, but it's the clip that's used on the Wikipedia page about the duet as well, as I'm guessing being so old it's royalty free.

There is a video titled, dimash--what happened in 2023 that is very interesting. It does not contain any performances. It does show the extent of his travels to India, China, Eastern Europe and the Middle East. He is involved in a range if activities in addition to preparing for concerts. I get the feeling that he is taking on a bigger role in a very large part of this world that isn't hust that of a singer. His new song with all English lyrics and that rock and bluesy melody could and should break big in the U.S. but I wonder if our music industry will allow it.

I've seen some Dears saying that it wasn't a dream, she did get bitten hehehe... True! I do not like vampires. I had to watch this in pieces, but it’s growing on me. I wouldn’t want my granddaughters to see it. They would probably have nightmares. It’s very, very well-done. I love the song, love his riffs and fast vocals. A classical musician and a vocal coach pointed out that some of the notes he hits are unexpected on purpose to build tension in the listener. It works! Listeners expect the chord to resolve - but it doesn’t, and adds to the story. Summation: Brilliant!

I'm not a zombie girl either. However, on recommendation over and over by many...I chanced to watch "Train to Busan". Yes. A Korean movie. At any point if I didn't like it...I would just turn it off. I never turned it off!!! I highly recommend it. I've never liked stupid zombie characters or their fake acting. But these zombies get an A from me. And Best acting by a young girl actress! I had to add a few critiques. Because I'm a director too. I didn't like the font of the credits. It didn't match the feeling of the theme. I would have picked some kind of caligraphy, and I would Not have picked red. The red umbrella was the perfect red touch. A good critique. His English pronunciation. Excellent! His well placed growls. Loved them! Set and lighting and art direction. Very good. His costume. Makeup and Hair. Loved it. I'm not a guitar solo girl. But loved it!

Apart from an incredible song and a stunning video, I came back to watch this again as this has to be the BEST reaction to a Dimash song that I have seen (and the reactor is not a voice coach). Just loved it. Because every bit that got Roscoe's attention, got mine too, for the same reason. And those runs... heaven on a stick.
