Dimash is very patriotic and wants to introduce his country's music and culture. It's his dream to sing a Kazakh song in a large stadium with his fans from around the world. And so in his every concert, Dimash sing this song with all his Dears from all around the world❤

My favorite part, the NY concert, when the Dears all sang with him and he was literally moved to tears. I am so pleased that Dimash has traveled to different countries, especially the US, and the reason I say that is so many people from other countries have a perception of American people, and if you watch what’s going on, or even think what other countries people are told about Americans, at least Dimash has been wonderfully welcomed by his Dears. However, what happened on Worlds Best pisses me off, because how dare they even have the qualifications to judge his vocal abilities never mind disrespecting him for being so honorable. That is not what I want people to think Americans are , at all.

Did you notice that at the beginning he is pointing to his earpiece? He tries it again but it is just not working. He gives up and leaves them both out and still manages to sing this song perfectly. His performance of this in New York was absolutely incredible. There are fan cam videos that are very up close and show every emotion on his face including the tears in his eyes as the multicultural crowd from literally all over the world sang this Kazakh song with him. He dream has always been to introduce his culture to the world.

Dimash is deeply entrenched in the history of his country and it's poetry and literature. He was told all of his country's stories as he grew up due to being raised by his grandparents. It's part of his pride in his country and his nationality yet it doesn't isolate or prevent him from exploring the world and it's cultures. Instead he brings us into his world and leaves us with a deep respect and a wish to know more about the Kazakh people who are far more than what the ridiculous portrayal by Sacha Baron Cohen would have had us believe.

This was the last song of a long solo concert, his first in Kazakhstan. This concert was one of Dimash's past dream coming to fruition, singing to his people. This was in fact a concert held as a welcome home celebration to Dimash after his international success in China. That is why he is so overwhelmed with emotion at the end of the song and as he was fully aware that one of his dream had just become reality.

One of my all time favorite performances. He worked so hard and many hours and lost a lot of weight and sleep to give the best concert to his dear Kazakh country men. After all that and a 3 hour concert I assume he was worn out physically and emotionally. It's impossible to sing when you're choked up, so he recovered quickly to finish the song. Like a well seasoned performer does even if he was only 23 years old at the time. Nobody better than the jewel of Kazakhstan.

Once Dimash participated in a singing competition. In the second round he wanted to sing Daididau but the organizers wanted him to sing another song. But Dimash was stubborn and insisted: Either I sing this song or I quit. Well he sang Daididau and in the end he won the competition.

there is more to this story..... someone who is Kazakh could explain it better but it's a Very old folk song in their culture & teen aged Dimash wanted to use it in a competition but his father disagreed that it could work so Dimash totally reengineered the song into what you just heard keeping the original lyrics but making it a letter to the poet that his wife had left him - it's genius..... he's emotional b/c this is immediately after he became a mega-star during the Chinese Singer Competition in 2017 it had always been his dream to have a concert in Almaty - Dimash's home town & when he returned a conquering hero the officials in his country immediately organized this concert - Dimash is very much an alpha - you will rarely ever see him become emotional - mid way thru this song is one of the very few times he gets emotional...... I saw him live in in NY in 2019 - his ability is otherworldly & to hear it live is crazy - his F5 sharp mix voice moves thru your body like a sonic boom - I've been in this industry for many, many years & seen every major & not so major act in the US & Europe live over the last 30+ years & there is simply no one like this kid..... his natural talent combined w/ an unmatched work ethic & dedication to his craft have produced the world's greatest vocalist & one of the best humanity has ever produced......

Your reactions are some of the ones I enjoy the most ! Thank you ! I have a few suggestions for you that you haven't reacted to yet : Daybreak (Bastau version), Across Endless Dimensions (Creators : The Past movie OST), Your Love, Mademoiselle Hyde, Know and Qairan Elim (please react to the MV for this one, Dimash co-directed it and it's a masterpiece). Also you still haven't discovered the "other side of Dimash" with all his pop/MJ-style songs. And then there's a whole bunch of less famous songs of his that are just incredible (like Ocean Over The Time for example, OST from the video game Moonlight Blade). Please keep reacting to Dimash, much love :D

Dimash is a very proud Kazakh and this song is so special to him because is a traditional song and he dreamt about singing it before a large audience to show his culture and his country to the world. He was almost in tears. The instrumentation is beautiful, the dombra is the instrument he plays in the intro., every Kazakh has one in his home and Dimash’s grandfather is a master of dombra. Dimash loves traditional music and incorporates Kazakh instruments in many songs such as Samaltau version for the Tokio Jazz Festival The dombyra is, in fact, so important to Kazakh national identity that there is a popular saying: “Naǵyz qazaq qazaq emes, naǵyz qazaq - dombyra” (Нағыз қазақ қазақ емес, нағыз қазақ - домбыра), which, translated, means “A real Kazakh is not a Kazakh, a real Kazakh is a dombra.” 💙💛🔝🌹🌹❤️🎤👏👏👏

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than twelve(12) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from USA 🇺🇸 "Dears" Forever ❤️ Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. Correct: The song speaks of the composition of Magzhan Zhumabayev, who is considered an exponent of Kazakh literature. When in 1928 he was sent to prison, and later sent to camps in North Karelia, Russia, Zuleikha (wife of Magzan) followed him, no matter where he was taken, she always found him and came to see him everywhere. She went to great lengths to get him released from prison in 1936, even asking the famous writer Maxim Gorky for help. During his prison term, Zhumabayev received the lying news that his wife had abandoned him, in this sense Daididau was written as a lament for the lost love and suffering of the nation. But contrary to what he thought, outside his wife worked hard for his freedom and in 1934 his sentence was reduced and he was finally able to return to the family. Unfortunately, in 1938 he was forcibly taken to the concentration camp and executed.

There was 100 students plus Dimash. So I guess 101 dombras. Yes the song is written in the perspective of the author. Daididau is the nick-name for his wife. He still sings this song at his concerts today.

So glad you lead off with the back story. This song became a sort of covert National Anthem to the Kazakh people. Kazakhstan didn't gain it's independence until 1991, and was the last of the sovereign nations to do so, after the Soviet Union collapsed. In fact, the Daididau had been applying to officials, travelling all over the land, ceaselessly, begging for her husbands release - at great risk to her own freedom. This was the second time he'd been imprisoned and her efforts and contacts had been a large part of his release the first time. But this time was different and they were determined to execute him. They had gone through so much earlier in their lives to be together, that he found it difficult to believe she would abandon him at the end. This performance in Kazakhstan was delivered after Dimash gained his huge international following (still growing! ) post his great success with the 2017 Chinese Singer Competition. he was thereafter designated as a Cultural Ambassador for his country. It was a very big honour for Dimash and a very emotional event for all. { How he managed to regain his composure and keep his voice steady, when he almost 'lost it' there toward the end was a real testament to his discipline! } 🤩😍

I think Daididau was his wife's name. He did get out of prison and reunite with her, but it didn't take Stalin long to come for him again. I believe this was Dimash's first huge solo concert in his country after his success on "The Singer." That's why he was more than usually overcome by performing his native music.

"To whom shall I reveal my misery" was also expressed as "To Whom Shall I Divulge My Sorrow." The latter expression of words struck me more, and I literally cried when I first read it.

Dimash was crying at the end of this performance. I am sure his heart was just so full of joy and happiness that the tears had to come. When he was a child, he was interviewed and he said he wanted the world to learn of his country. When he began his career, he said that he wanted to sing this song on a large stage for the world to hear. I believe he performs this song and every major concert. I know he performed it here when his concert was at the Barclay Center in New York. There were "Dears" from 47 States and 54 foreign countries.
