The entire song is about social media and hate. Tablo received so much hate at one time that he almost quit. Social media is often accessed via phone thus the format. Thus putting people in boxes of what they are expected to be and who they really are.

I think they chose artists who received a lot of hate too! Zico, who was hated on for being 'ugly', cultural appropriation, etc but immediately made everyone swallow their words by releasing Any Song, and now everyone loves him again. CL, who also got hate for gaining weight, being very confident in stage and for expanding to the US market. Really speaks to the hypocrisy of k-netizens and netizens when they can turn around and spout love from the same mouth they talked shit with.

All of these performers are the OGs that pushed through a lot of haters and backlash. And yes the use of small spaces that people tried to put them is superb.

I wouldn't use past tense for "haters and backlash" in terms of Zico. The Burning Sun stuff is still following him as new things come out, true or not. The stuff with "Tough Cookie" still follows him as well, despite how long its been. Some of it is definitely hate, but there's a lot of gray area so it's hard to decide between the words "hate" and "disappointment." He is currently pushing through still. The hate Tablo received in the face of irrefutable proof just for being extremely educated is not comparable to anything CL or Zico have experienced, either. I have never seen *any* Korean celebrity experience anything comparable to what he faced. What his family faced. What his group members faced. It was insane. He had quickly provided proof of his education, and Koreans were just so awful to him anyway. Out of jealousy. Out of spite. He was truly a phoenix.

I love Epik High so much!! I'm so bummed they have come to my city twice: bought tix for both and got sick for both (once with covid) 😭😭😭 they are coming again this year, and Im hoping third time is the charm ...EVERYONE SEND ME YOUR GOOD VIBES!!

I would encourage you to look into everything Epik High, especially Tablo, went through to get to this point. I have never seen a celebrity so hated and threatened for literally no good reason. Everything for them had been fine until some random anti called into question the validity of Tablo's degrees from Stanford. He quickly provided proof that he did indeed get those degrees in the timeframe he got them, but nobody cared. They sent him and his family all types of hate and death threats. Hate mail. Like actual physical hate mail. Death threats to him, his pregnant wife, their unborn (and then born) child. Mithra and Tukutz also received tons of hate just for being part of Epik High. It is is the most thoughtless, baseless, purely hateful "scandal" I have ever seen. And it went on for many years. Us international fans (and the sane Korean fans) were terrified for them, like how could something like this even happen, and why? Even when the guy who started it faced legal consequences, admitted he had no proof for what he had said, it didn't matter. It went on for years. There are still Koreans to this day who shun them for no good reason. Just out of jealousy and spite. I've never seen anything like it. They are all strong for getting through it, but that man, his wife, and his daughter Haru are so incredibly special. They were great parents to her and she grew up wonderfully despite the traumatic situation going on when she was born. They deserve only happiness. I'm glad you're listening to Epik High's music and hope you'll do more. So much of that story and strength comes through in their music. Powerful, poetic lyrics over an often chill, lo-fi beat. There's nothing like it.

I think the format reflects the narrow-mindedness of people. CL has said she thinks about the silhouette of her outfits so the winged looked could be intentional.

Yes Roscoe, Epik High seem to like this format, you need to perhaps check out their track Born hater where they use it looking into toilet cubicles, so yeah going along with your thoughts on the narrowness oof the space. That and the song is bloomin 💥. Mithra slays every time!!!!!

Khiphop artist really are going hard, ofc there are trash everywhere, but since their community is rather small they're so competitive. Like everytime I listen to new releases, they always upgrading their qualities. Especially now I've seen even more rapper and rnb singer wrote for kpop artists, like a lot. And that happens with a lot of underground artist too, I wish they get more spotlight tho, korean music is really fun down there
