Festa is their 2 week bday celebration that we get daily free content and every year one of the members releases an original song for free. Plus we get pics, videos, unreleased dance practices etc. Festa usually starts at end of May going to their bday on June 12th

Festa is like a festival for army and bts. My first impression of the former Rap Mon wasn’t that good but it was mainly not his fault but my own issues. I grew up in Asia and based on experiences from kindergarten to college, boys that look like that are usually trouble 😂. I could never be more happy to be proven wrong, wrong, WRONG. I love that he is who he is and more, with sprinkles on top: a lovable goofball and a nerd to the core and the do-goodest do-gooder to ever good in earnest. His well-documented in IG North American museum tour after PTD LA and his trips to the library during their break in Korea were this close to stealing me from my bias and bias wrecker. I’m a museum and library gal myself and most of my IRL friends are not into that. Imagine the sheer joy in my heart seeing our great leader getting his picture taken in one of the profoundly happy places on earth for me: that one spot at the Met in NYC where they hang Van Gogh’s Cypressess. It fills me with joy that I nerd the same way as Kim Nam Joon. Like I said in the chat Namjooning is a life choice. Namjooning is life. And oh, I dislike Mint Chocolate too. 😝

I have been listening to Bicycle every day lately. Roscoe did you see ? on Doolset there is a translation of a letter from RM about the song. BTS birthday is June 13th and Festa is the yearly celebration. Fun fact- Jimin has the number 13 tattooed on the inside of his wrist because his birthday is Oct 13 and BTS debut was June 13, 2013 so it must be a lucky number for him. 🍀

Missed you so much Roscoe and you come back and play IDOL! I went with my friend who isn't Army, to see the concert at the cinema. When BTS sang IDOL I was singing and dancing along with it. When it finished my friend looked at me and said 'what is this song? Send it to me!' By the end of the concert I had a long list of songs she wanted to hear again. Newborn Army right there 😂😂 Welcome back Captain 💜💜

OMG! You watched Joonie's Bicycle?! 😳😲🤯😁🥰💜 His friend and fellow musician, John Eun, co-wrote this song with Joonie last year for Army and it came out in time for Festa 2021. Yes, this song hits hard for me! I love it soooooooo much that I even shared it with my students 🥰 BTW - Festa is the celebration BTS has each year for Army, which officially became a fandom July 13, 2013 (exactly one month after BTS officially debuted). Bicycle is unlike any other solo song Joonie's released previously. It has such a cool vibe & natural flow. Army love to say that this is the perfect song for Namjooning (riding your bike, getting out in nature, enjoying the trees and animals, just like Joonie loves to do) 😁👍🥰💜

Festa is awesome.....it takes place in June as the anniversary of their debut and they release a bunch of surprise content for the fans throughout the month. It's a busy time of year and so much fun!! They release surprise songs, photos etc and also sit down for a serious talk about how they are feeling and how their year went. You could do a whole series on Festa content.

I found the video the day it was released during FESTA and yes I do have a connection with it. It makes me feel very calm and assured, but in a slightly different way compared to Blue & Grey. FESTA is an annual celebration taking place from usually the first of June to the fourteenth and it was made to celebrate BTS's debut anniversary as the thirteenth is right in the timeline. During it, videos such as songs, dance practices, and more are released as well as merch. I bought the FESTA box for last year's celebration (I pre-ordered it, had no idea it was considered "exclusive" until I bought it - it's sold out now) and last year was my first FESTA as I didn't know what it was prior. I learned what it was back in 2020 but that year's celebration had already passed by then. Jungkook's song Still With You (uploaded on SoundCloud for free) is what he released for 2020's FESTA, and no one really knew what to do for 2021 so Namjoon stepped up. He explained how a friend of his makes guitar beats and sends him some occasionally and he liked this one beat and that one ended up being the one for Bicycle. He posted a picture on Twitter I believe after the song was done but we didn't know about the song until it dropped.

Yeah bicycle hit me hard on my teenage memories in NZ where I was riding around a bike exploring every little bit of little town I was at one weekend at time. It was just me, my bike and the wind and I didn’t know at the time but that was probably when I was most free in life and I choose to spend those time to explore all the beautiful nature that is in NZ.

I love that you started with Idol, and can I just say after learning as much as I have about BTS these past few weeks -- EVERY SINGLE choice in that music video is a metaphor for something and I would love to see you do a breakdown of it someday. For example in the beginning (before the first chorus) when we see RM posing for the different selfie filters? It's definitely in reference to past online drama where some people sent him hate comments for using filters on VLIVE. So he puts it in the MV. Looking cute af. Another example is the rabbit in the moon about halfway through the video (such a cool effect), but symbolically the rabbit represents immortality. As in they are NEVER going away, these boys and their music are here to stay no matter what anyone says. There's just SO MUCH cool stuff in that video, it's one of my favorites because of how much it can be read into. I love your BTS Explorer Cam series, I love that you just jump from video to video wherever your heart takes you. Keep up the amazing work!

Long comment ahead. I'm sorry. When I first saw this mv, I was reeling, it was so overwhelming... 😂 Felt like a fever dream, now well knowing why its so overwhelming and trippish, I relish in that feeling. OK here it goes, this is going to be a long ass comment. Rm's opening lines, he was very conflicted when they first started and struggled with labels and stuff, he soon realised he was just 'himself' and I'm proud of him for that. V' glasses and namjoon's Snapchat filters, when they did livestreams, ppl apparently told them they didn't look good with them and told them to stop them. (hah take that haters) Suga's snow White sweater because ppl told him he was too pale or something. The Korean references because ppl said they were becoming too "westernised" after gaining popularity. The clones effect where there were several of the members as ppl told them that seven members were too many. (😂) Basically, they took all the things haters and naysayers told them, multiplied it several times and put it all into one video... 😂 A huge Fu!(Oh? Roscoe, if you ever get more Tim Tams, you’ll love a Tim Tam slam. Bite off opposite corners, put one corner in hot coffee and suck on the other like a straw! I don’t drink coffee, but works just as well with hot chocolate. Also, it can get a little messy. 😂

Roscoe, first...I love your after edits where you insert yourself among the guys for the thumbnails. Second, you gotta watch the dance practice to IDOL and see if you can catch their Marvel Avengers pose. And as others mentioned, watch the explanation too and I would add the MAMA 2018 performance. I used to not like this song, but I've grown to appreciate it a lot and it is one of my favorite now. Somethings I've learned from other ARMYs about IDOL: People complained they use green screen in their MVs, so they overloaded this one with it. RM- ARMYs once complained to RM about using filters during his VLive, so they gave him filters in the MV. Jin- the guys in the early years teased him about being a narcists and loving himself too much, so naturally Mr. WWH has the line of "It's okay, I'm in love with my-myself" SUGA- Snow White is used because people were complaining that SUGA was too white and pale. JHope- people complained he was too lanky, so they had him dance with that blow up thing. Jimin- people complained he's too feminine, so they made him even more feminine with the fan scene. V- the white shirt with hearts that V wears is from one of their interviews. The interviewer wore it and commented how hideous it was, but naturally BTS complimented him instead. Now, V wears it also in this MV. He's also wearing a Pinky & the Brain tie. An ARMY also complained to V about wearing glasses during VLive and I think told him to take it off, so they gave him glasses to wear for the MV. JK- no complaints that I'm aware of... he's too good at everything :).

My favorite thing about Idol is the guys taking criticism they are too “western” and creating an African Korean fusion song (so not western). They wear colorful suits made by South African designer, traditional Korean modern hanbok garments, use African beats and dance moves. The layers of meaning and symbolism in this seemingly chaotic MV crack me up.

I remember when i told my daughter i think i’m a BTS Army, she told me, really? ok now tell me their names.. and i was like 😳 mom first learn the names then learn who is who and then recognize their voices omg it was a challenge but i did it, now i can close my eyes and listen to any song and i know who sings.. finally she say mom learn the BTS chant before we go to the concert at LA sadly i couldn’t😭 and still can’t lol but i will learn for the next concert… just wanted to share lol by the way Im so happy for this channel im here since day OnE…. thank you!!! 💜
