Jacoby Shaddix, the singer of Papa Roach, wrote the lyrics. He also talked to Ronnie about a possible cover, and Ronnie played it to him when it was still being edited. There is a video of that, and he asks Jacoby if he would sing the background in the moment of 'I cannot go on this way', and I think it sounds like him.

Ronnie used to have color tattoos covering his entire upper torso, neck, arms, & hands. (He has a few on his legs, too) A couple of years ago, he said he wanted change...didnt like the way some of his tattoos looked, was tired of others, and decided to black them all out. Just going off of what he's said, there doesn't seem to be any other meaning behind the black tattoos. By the way, Ronnie is incredibly talented. Amazing songwriter, too. He can rap (really rap), sing anything, has an incredible range, and he can do the metal screams. And last, but not least, his music videos are like movies. Love Falling in Reverse!

Yeah Ronnie is fucking talented. Check out the song by Falling In Reverse called "Watch The World Burn". You'll be even more blown away. The video and the song are both NUTS. As for Ronnie's tattoos, he was basically completely covered on his arms, torso and neck, but he said he didn't like his tattoos anymore and felt like the artwork wasn't good, so he blacked them out. He has RR on his face for Ronnie Radke, and he also has a teardrop tattoo, because he went to prison a long time ago. It reminds him not to do anything stupid.

This was also the sequel to Watch The World Burn. Ronnie blacked out all his old tatoos because they didn't mean anything to him anymore. Ronnie reinvents himself from time to time. Absolutely, great reaction! Much ❤
@TherapyGurl11 ай бұрын
I also heard somewhere that he got many of those old tattoos when he was using drugs and he no longer related to them because he's not the same person that he was back then, so blacking them out was a way to signify this evolution. I can't speak to the accuracy of that though.

The song is a continuation of the song: "Watch the world burn" the brown ish black things on the piano are ashed (the remains after a object or person is burned) the distortion is symbolic of a mirage (the illusion that appears in intense heat)

Thank you for sharing your experience. Beautifully described what some of us struggle to put into words. This remix is so powerful, gets me right in the chest every time I hear it. I was lucky enough to see Falling in Reverse live, pre release of this song. They opened for Papa Roach, so I heard the original of this song live. But the F in R version from Ronnie just hits completely different. I have heard many mention it, but totally agree, it is a "grown up" perspective of the song.

Ronnie Radke is known for his extreme vocal range and his movie like videos. If you haven't heard the original Papa Roach version, you should because I personally think FIR version gives you a realization of actually what this song was about . The OG was more upbeat.
@keensniperjay11 ай бұрын
If I’m not mistaken I’m sure he blacked out his tattoos because it represented his past and he sees it as a bad influence on his daughter, if you watch the trilogy, (losing my mind, losing my life and drugs) which is epic by the way, you will see the tattoos progress. Also there are a couple more I would love to see you react to, Popular Monster Voices in my head Watch the world burn Also there are a few you HAVE to react to back to back are.. The drug in me is you/ the drug in me is reimagined Im not a vampire/im not a vampire revamped These will blow you way pal. These songs blew me away and I instantly became a fan, I love his raw emotion he pours into his music and the fact that he has so much vocal range is insane. Also his daughter does feature in a few of the videos which is brilliant.

The visual representation of the song lyrics is just overwhelming. The scream to let it out is a release when you feel you can do nothing else. And yes, this hits very close to home for me. Baby brother suffered silently from depression and did not make it. His son is struggling with the same thing but now the family has closed ranks and are always there for him and his struggles. This is why I always say 'GET IT OUT!' Get it out and shine a light on it to understand it better. We are very proud of the progress he has made and continues to make. You are not alone-reach out.

Loved the original song, was hooked on it the first time I heard it. Now, Ronnie's /Fallen in Reverse's version...never paid too much attention to the lyrics, until now. Wow, just wow. Ronnie is a singer and rapper, insanely gifted.
@dirtyd13988 ай бұрын
He covered all the tats he had, from my undrstanding is, People were focusing on all his tats, and less about the music, so he went all black on all his tats (except the one on his face [RR]). He has all his original tats in all the other videos (Popular Monster is the start of this series, Then Zombefied, Then Voices in my head, then Watch the world burn, then this one). Original is from Papa Roach, and he got their blessing on him doing this version of the song. He has served time, had disputes with MGK (voices in my head) and a dispute with Sebastian Bach over missing laptops, he he gets punked in Watch the World Burn with laptops falling from the sky. You should watch the series in order. I'm not a vampire (reimagined) was the outlier, but was done for his bandmate that died, and its dedicated to him.

I interpeted it slightly different, and probably in a much more dangerous way. I was abused for years, couldn't get anyone to believe me, couldn't get out and run away. By the point i hit 17 i was done, id got nothing left of my life or my soul to live for. In the video when everything goes still, that was definitely the decision moment, only i chose the other decision. The building returning to normal, was me losing consciousness and finally thinking i was going to be at peace. I was brought back, and my parents told the staff that they would arrange for me to get "help." That consisted of an increase in abuse round the clock. I managed to get out 4 years later. Ive found something to live for now, but i spent so many years in mental and physical pain that its a hard mentality to shift. Im grateful though. Im now much older and im now much stronger than my abusers. Take the steering wheel folks

I’m going through it rn. For the second time in my life. I’m disabled, and my now ex fiancé broke up with me. Leaving me virtually homeless, I’ve had two dogs die on me from unpreventable circumstances, and I had to move in with my ex husband because I had no where else to go. I lost a good deal of friends to this breakup, and the kicker is, I didn’t do anything wrong. I was dumped like a piece of garbage BECAUSE I’m disabled. Because to him I became only a financial burden. I have no income, no way to take care of myself and no way to seek employment. I don’t even have a car. I have a computer and no internet access. The only positive is my now ex agreed to pay for my phone until I can find a way to get my own. I’m so alone in this world and it feels like I would do the world more favors if I was no longer in it.

There are always easter eggs in Ronnies videos lol , just saying . Jensen Noen directed this beutyful video , he has worked with Ronnie / Fir since Popular Monster . Sean Rooney , a classical trained artist composed this , like the 2 other reimagined songs , Fir made , from their debut album "The Drug In Me Is You" .10 years after , same lyrics , but totally dif versions , U should def check them out , if U havent already , The Drug In Me Is U / The Drug In Me Is Reimagined , and Im Not A Vampire / Im Not A Vampire Revamped . Do a double reaction with both versions off the song s to really see the growth and progress . The Revamped version is my personally fav .
