Papa Roach version also conveys a guy trying to put on a act of being fine, but being broken inside. The serious lyrics with the wild music and video. There is a moment in the song where all that fun is all stripped away and he just screams

So many people describe this song that way. However, when Papa Roach released this song I listened to the lyrics and they resonated with me not with my anger but with my frustration at why my biological parents treated me so badly and my grandparents did everything to make me feel loved however when my bios got their visits I was abused and so was my brother until we were teenagers and big enough to fight back. We Are Still Broken he’s 52 I’ll be 50. So many times music and my religion and Nana one time my son’s father stopped me from doing the unthinkable. I just didn’t want to endure anymore. One of abusers is dead 2 still live since 1 of my bios allowed her gf to abuse us. It’s sadly comforting when my counselor is even shocked at my admissions. It makes me feel less crazy. Falling In Reverse has made this song almost an Anthem for me. ❤

Sean you got this even in the darkest of times. You are allowed to cry, scream or close the door and be alone for awhile. It’s ok to be angry or feel lost as long as you take that time for yourself and your emotions. Then the next day take a deep breath and grab those bootstraps remembering you are loved and have a world out there who believe you can do this. Do things with those you love and tell them that you do. There are so many support groups and counseling persons out there for you and your family. You got this and if you stumble here in there it’s OK as long as you don’t let darkness win trust in the Higher Power.❤❤❤❤❤
