NOtice the clothing 'levels' up as the video progresses. They start with 'nothing' but rags and end up in head to toe designer--showing how they progressed in their careers and in their confidence....

soyeon created this song in two weeks for a show called queendom!! you should totally react to the ‘lion’ queendom performance and the ‘put it straight’ performance!! they’re both amazing. there’s a reason they called them monster rookies. (poor shuhua got bullied a lot by knetizens because she’s from taiwan and she couldn’t pronounce things properly. that performance was the most lines she’s ever been given because she requested to have less lines so that she wasn’t ridiculed. after the performance she had thought that she messed up the words on a line and cried. soyeon immediately tried to cheer her up by saying she forgot a section of the rap and just free-styled. it’s a super cute clip worth watching if you react to the queendom performance^^) btw i think since you are a director it could be really cool for you to react to the behind the scenes of soyeon recording the songs. she writes and produces all of the songs, and even controls things down to what outfits they wear the set they record in and the NAILS they wear. she is definitely the mastermind behind it all lol. the best recording behind the scenes is the nxde recording and the super lady recording! she’s an amazing producer and it’s so cool to see her methods! she got all of the girls different voice couches so that they didn’t get rid of their unique voices, and when they debuted yuqi was extremely self conscious because she thought and was told her voice was too deep to be an idol. soyeon encouraged her and then highlighted her deep voice in songs because she wanted her to be confident and see how beautiful her voice is. and minnie is from thailand and pronounces her R’s with a lisp, so soyeon then wrote her specifically dreamy lines that would highlight the was she sang her R’s. she did things like that for all of her members and i just think it’s so interesting. and even though soyeon is the main song maker there is a producer line in gidle consisting of soyeon, minnie, and yuqi! funnily they were all of the girls that stood out to you lol. their methods of writing and producing and super different than soyeons and it’s cool to see, even if they mostly make b-sides. if you actually watch soyeons recording behind and you’re interested in more you should react to minnie and yuqis recording behind. minnie’s style is more chill and yuqi likes to be in your face and rock and roll.i personally like the songs that minnie writes and produces a bit more because they’re so dreamy and haunting. she has a very distinct writing style. some of her bests are: “tung-tung” a japanese single, made me cry “already” bside “lucid” bside “escape” bside, this song made me cry “vision” bside “sculpture”bside, absolutely heart wrenching song in the nxde album, a must react because it’s so filled with emotion and if you lived nxde you will love the album. “change” tbh gidles bsides are really so amazing. really one of the best things about them. lastly, i absolutely love to see an actual directors opinion on music videos, never say that you’re talking too much because i find the whole process super interesting. sorry for the long comment!! exited to see more gidle

@@BourbonPeat i love her tone sm. it’s soft and pretty😭😭 i don’t know why she got criticized so much, she really deserves sm praise. i think lately shes been getting a lot more recognition though!! but i think where she really shines now is her stage presence and reality shows. she has improved so drastically in the last couple of years, her stage presence now is just chefs kiss. her personality is something else too, she is so goddamn funny.

Fun fact : Soyeon gave the verse “It looks like a lion, im a queen like a lion”, to each of the member for them to sing and to say the are all a queen.

i requested it a few times lol, this song is a masterpiece you should really watch the queendom performance of this. Just thinking about everything they went through and the fact that they might not even be here today if Soyeon dint come up with their debut last minute they truly are queen like a Lion. you have to do the Queendom performance of this it is the best I have ever seen
