Showed us all the things ARMY likes to comment on: graceful hands, expressive eyes, profile, Yeontan (Y's stand-in), "being domestic" (= cooking), drinking from a glass, deadpan RBF, napping, the spontaneous bright boxy smile (They made us wait 1 min, 45 sec for that one), biting his lip, wearing glasses.... 😍 And Roscoe's favorite: V concentrating when creating art. 💜 Tae facing us and painting around his own outline, adding the antennae. So I researched about this video, The character Taehyung plays in the MV is an animator where he is using clay tiny heads for a zoetrope which was a pre-cinematic visual toy in the 1860s, he is checking out his facial expressions in the mirror for reference and then he also watches animation and a live action nature program which animators often watch footage of real animals to study their motion The figure Taehyung creates by painting on glass reference is related to Picasso, there is a film of Picasso at his home in Vallauris, painting on glass with a camera rolling on the other side. The scene is an outtake from Visite à Picasso (A Visit with Picasso), a 1950 film by Belgian filmmaker Paul Haesaerts Then it becomes black and white silhouette film which is another snippet of a different style of animation in the MV It refers to Lotte Reiniger's work, the pioneer of silhouette animation. Tae worked with NewJeans creative director/ADOR president Hee Jin Min, she oversaw the entire production of the collection, including music, choreography, design and promotion. For Rainy Days she said “I wanted to focus on V’s inner self instead of his outwardly glamor. I had specific styles of music that I wanted to suggest to V, considering his vocal tone and style. As soon as he heard the tracklist I made for him, we instantly agreed on the direction,the new tune acts as an intro for the album, and V’s serene vocals and visuals stand out.” Layover will include a total of six tracks: Rainy Days, Blue, Love Me Again, Slow Dancing, For Us and a bonus track piano version of Slow Dancing, the tracklist comes with a suggestion, that you should listen to the album’s tracks in order, from 1-5, noting that Slow Dancing is the focus track of the collection, describing it as a 1970s romantic soul style track that exudes a laid-back and free-spirited feeling. Yes painting with a hunk of bread is a real thing, or at least it was for J.M.T. Turner a well-known English painter in watercolor and oils and he would use a hunk of bread to lift paint from his painting, It is said that you would find bits of bread crumbs in his paintings 🤣 Also the Dead air, is actually white noise and rain, listen again and you’ll hear it. The dog is named Rocky and is supposed to look like his dog Yeontan. He is filming these in Spain so far and couldn't bring his dog because of illness and age. I think it is sweet he wanted to include his dog. His album is called Layover hehe. I dunno this video looked a bit 60's and 70's too with the windows and black and white cartoon in the back ground. The birds were flying backwards hehe. That bread sort of looks like a cigar when you stopped it for a minute. His picture was spinning in the back ground

Okay, so, I'm going to comment on both of V's videos on this one, since it's the 2nd one of the two. This stuff is JUST my opinion, although supported by the things I'm going to point out. I don't know if you've seen the track list for Layover yet, but Rainy days is the first song and Love Me Again is the third. The song that he released a teaser for, Blue, is between the two. The 4th and 5th tracks are Slow Dancing and For Us. V said that he wanted to tell a story with his album. Well, a layover is a pause, a break in a journey that you then resume after the layover. In Rainy Days, you can hear the sounds of people texting one another, but in Love Me Again, the phone is off the hook. It's like they're still talking in Rainy Days, but the communication has been cut off in Love Me Again. Also, I've heard it speculated that the cave represents isolation and loneliness, which would fit in with the things in the Love Me Again video. The last two song titles imply the two possibly getting back together, which would make sense with the album title. Like, the two took a break from one another and then got back together and continued on with their journey together. I also think that the alien that he painted was a self portrait. He portrayed a devil in the Blood Sweat and Tears MV and the other members have referred to V as an alien for years. It's even in the song that V and Jimin sing together about their friendship. Also, there's the rose that blooms but then reverses and goes back to a bud. V says in the song that they can start over again, similar to that flower. Of course there is an absolute ton of imagery and hidden meanings in these videos, especially Rainy Days, but these are a few of the things that stood out to me.
