Max Caulfield, photographer-in-residence at the prestigious Caledon University, discovers her closest new friend, Safi, dead in the snow. Murdered. I'm a bit disappointed not to see the original writters from Don't Nod, having prefered the Life is Strange "official series" for how well built the characters were, how they'd develope but also how the narrative will takr your places. I'm so happy to hear Bae and Bay are choices! There videos on the game seem to be set on Bay Max, so I'm so curious to see what mentions Chloe will get in Bae. We know in Lis2 and Wavelengths Max and Chloe were on the road together - whereas in Bay Max has been on the road alone. I bet Max took a job at the uni and she and Chloe are long distance atm. I have a feeling when Chloe realizes what is going on, she'll come running back to help Max and that's how she'll appear. I am so excited to see them texting each other!! I also would guess on Bay path Max has romances (like Safi and Amanda?) and on Bae she's happily taken by Chloe.

Which Kinda sucks as it feels they want to capitalize on the nostalgia and the fantasi but without actually giving us what weve wanted for so long :)

I feel like I'm going to be fooled here, I mean, what's the point of me choosing the Bae ending, sacrificing a fucking city if Chloe doesn't at least have an appearance? I don't want it to be just mentioned, I always imagined that if there was a next game that validated both options, in one of them they would be together. This studio has everything it needs to do right, but it still focuses on characters that we have zero involvement with, and discards the characters that are essential to the franchise.

I feel like you are going a bit too fast here, let's wait to see what they have prepared. If Chloe isn't part of it there's probably a good reason for it. In LiS2 with the 2 brothers, you'll meet Chloe's step dad(David) if you chose Bae over bay (I did not even recognize him at first until he mentionned Chloe haha). It's at the end of the game. You can talk to him and he will kind of tell you a part of his story, and talks about his relationship with Chloe. He mentions that she is still with max. That they ran away together, not looking back. He says he did not talk to them for a while because he couldn't accept they moved on. But that after a while, they met again and made peace. And after you leave the caravan he lives in, if you don't move you can actually hear a full call with him and Chloe if you stay by the door :) (you can only hear David's responses). They talk about meeting again because he installed solar pannels and he says "you'll see them the next time you come by", and then tells she could drive down to louisiana or texas, and Chloe gives him news involving a gallery and max, which he replies with "cool! finger crossed then" and asks Chloe to wish luck to Max. So if they are not together in this new game that means something happened between them between the two games because it would not make sense otherwise. Or maybe they are still together, but Chloe is on a trip to David's for instance ? Or... Maybe they don't want to spoil us and they are lying to us right now and Chloe will be part of the game in the end ? What's sure is that they won't tell us this because they would say way too much otherwise. They will probably have a good reason to explain why she almost won't be part of the story, let's be patient! :)

The devs clearly stated that both choices (Bae and Bay) would be validated in the game. You saved Chloe? Then she's alive. In regards to Chloe, they can't talk about her yet without spoiling her role in the game. But FELICE KUAN (one of the devs in this interview) is a huge Chloe fan ever since she worked on Before the Storm. That alone should calm your jets about Chloe being done dirty in this game. That won't happen because Felice has total creative control over the storyline in this game. Stop being a Debbie Downer and just wait until more info comes out.

I would never have dreamt that there will be another LIS game with Max, let alone with her as the protagonist! I’m soooo excited for it, I’m already counting the days to the release!! When I saw that Max can travel between timelines, I thought it might be a hint at the comics. I’m very interested to see how her new power plays out, if it “overwrites” her rewind powers or is an addition to them. So far it seems she has less control in actually rewinding time, but rather opening different timelines that HAVE been rewound / altered already. I wonder if the killer has (similar) powers, so it will not only be a race against time, but a race through different timelines aswell. However, I also have a theory that Max might have (accidentally) caused Safis death, similar to the Tornado in LIS1, and it’s actually herself she’s after. So much to think about! And I’m so excited about the old characters, the new ones, the soundtrack and honestly just everything about this game

I love the game and I respect that yall want to open the door for New players but Realistically speaking if you was dealt a Traumatic experience like max did in season 1 ending You would become much closer with that Person you experienced it with. Trauma bonding of some sort (Not Necessarily in a romantic type of way) idk, i feel like OG players waiting so long for a return and a Bigger deep dive into what happened after season 1. Its clear the developers want a Clean slate and a new story and if that IS the case perhaps don’t even use max or Chloe? Not sounding ungrateful but Considering the reason we all wanted max was to see what came of everything i do like the idea or murder mystery but i feel like yall dropped the ball a bit. Not to mention how Familiar the idea of saving a friend is this would of been a Prime reason to bring chloe back along. I do respect that you all just want to make the game more Friendly to new comers but Just like Red Dead redemption they made the prequel carry over without needing to play the 1st game. Max is Bi, Chloe is a lesbian, Sean from the second game is also bi. there is no pushing of sinful thoughts, only supporting. that flag represents a group of people who are positive with their sexuality, not an agenda to change the world.

Please don't only push leftist ideals in this one. I'm a centrist and the liberal pandering comes off as disrespectful to all humans. And I'm not talking about sexuality. That's completely fine. I'm just saying, there are a variety of people in real life and just filling the roster of "good" people with left leaning individuals and painting anyone with opposing views as malicious or unhinged is just plain wrong. The first game had a slightly better balance than later entries. Pandering never feels authentic. I'm playing the game regardless. Just hope it is a big return for the series and not another True Colors. (Though, I like that one more than most do.)

What are you even talking about? The entire franchise has always been "liberal." A huge part of the first game is about criticizing a wealthy family who has a monopoly over a town. That seems pretty one-sided to me. Fiction is allowed to be inherently politcal because you're supposed to gain a lesson when consuming any form of story. Think of the boys, a clearly left leaning show that very prominently attacks republican/conservative ideals. If you don't like the political aspect of a story, then you don't have to read/watch/play it.

I think it would be naive to assume this game would use the True Colors style romance choice making, if anything I’m sure it would be like Warren/Chloe how it’s slightly just thrown out and you can assume from there and make maybe 1-2 small interactions that explicitly show it lol
