I think Greg Roman did ok for what he had. 1. We went from a 31st rushing attack to 17th. 2. He had to come to a team where he transformed a pass first OL into a run first OL. 3. He had Herbert using his legs more and throwing deep.

I have a major concern with Tee Higgins and that's his injuries. He gets hurt almost every year. It will bite us if we pay him WR#1 money and he rides the bench half the season. For that reason I am ok passing on him. He's a phenomenal WR#2 but I don't think he can bridge the gap to the #1 spot. DK Metcalf is the better signing. Yes he has an attitude but if you look at his physique you can see why he never gets injured. Plus he can go toe to toe with linebackers and push them back on the run, which is a very rare quality to have in a wide receiver. Even when he isn't getting the ball in his hands he can be a threat. As long as he keeps his attitude in check and adopts the Charger way of team first he should be nothing but a positive boost to our depth chart.

Love the channel but I don’t think we’re spending that kind of money on a WR. Don’t remember seeing Coach spending money like that for a wideout in San Francisco. I’d invest in improving our interior OL via free agency/draft. Wouldn’t be mad if we got Higgins or traded for Metcalf though. Center & Guard positions should be a priority & maybe get Metcalf or an experienced vet WR & TE would be ideal to help develop our young WR & TE core we have. I trust they’ll find the talent in the Draft with how well our rookies this year performed. Continue to trust the process & not rush into spending/wasting money for win now. I think the best the chargers can do is actually go for DK. He is a good run blocker for his size and good vertical threat. Draft an oline te and rb(I like cam Skattabo).

With Tee, Ladd and Q, that is a formidable trio. Ladd was beating triple teams in Houston. This allows Q to be used the way he should be full time and not forced into the X. It also takes the pressure off of the TE position and allows them to take a round 3-4 TE in a deep TE draft to develop. I have said the its not happening, BUT, I could see it happen. I have learned A LOT about the salary cap and contracts the last couple of years, and 30 million a year doesn’t mean necessarily that much against the cap. Ed McGwier is one of the best capologists and will be creative. Me personally, I feel more comfortable with DK. A little less money and he is a true TED.

8:00 just being realistic, you can't really say it would change the OUTCOME, but it would at least be a lot closer I think. If Tee played, Ladd most likely would not have gotten 197 yards, but definitely still 100+ I'm sure.. Tee might've extended a drive or two, which might take a few points off the board for the Texans (particularly garbage time points from Herbert trying to force something to happen).. maybe one of those 1st quarter FGs turns into a touchdown.. maybe he extends a drive or two in the second half getting us in field goal range and shutting out some time for Texans to score again.. lets say it gives us 10 more points and takes away 10 of theirs which I think is pretty optimistic for the addition of just Tee Higgins... We go to overtime, 22-22 in this scenario. He would have to have an absolute rockstar day, and I feel more confident in Tee Higgins having that day than any other receiver that might be available. Maybe DK. Hope they get one of them, preferably the younger one.

Not only win in the post season but do it with a hard schedule! In order to do that there needs to be improved offensive line and receiver play. Remember Outside Receivers need time o get open and Justin needs enough time to throw the ball to them. Without an improved offensive line Tee Higgins will not be enough.

As much as I know he’d help the offense, I’m still not sold on paying top dollar for a receiver with injury history, it just feels like Mike Williams 2.0 to me. I think the true key to unlock this offense is a stud TE and double punch at RB, and they can find a hidden gem WR in the draft or Free agency. Between Higgins and DK, I think if like DK more, but both are gonna have to get paid, and the huge downside of DK is draft capital from trading.

WR can only be addressed in 1st two rounds in this weak WR draft class. So it’s either a WR in first round or FA or trade for WR. Think Chargers better off getting a WR through FA or trade. At minimum a Keenan Allen or Chris Godwin. Focus in FA should be Center, Guard then WR. Draft you can get your TE, DE,DT and RB. There is a lot a depth at those positions in this draft.

Tee Higgins and Jamarr Chase were the best WR duo in the NFL last season. They're record was 9-8 bc they lacked defensive player depth. That will even get worst once they sign Chase to 35 mil. We don't even know how well he will fit in G Ro offense which is run first. O line first! via FA or Draft. Then TE, WR. I wouldn't mind Allen returning then draft a WR. They are economical ways to a COMPLETE team

I love the idea of Tee Higgins on this team and as good of a player as he is, our #1 drawback on offense is Greg Roman. The dude is scheming lazy predictable plays. A lot of Ladd's plays was a combination of Herbert making it work and Ladd also working with Herbert. Higgins is likely gonna have to go vertical a lot and run medium to deeper post routes. I still think he can produce given who our QB is but Roman's play calling is so bad. We really need to work on these WR routes and not make them cluster in the same area. On top of that before we even think of getting weapons we NEED to address how putrid out interior Oline is. Herbert can't throw if he's constantly getting sacked or running for his life.

Higgins is awesome but i think between him and DK I'd go with DK. That guy is a machine. He's got some years left as the physical machine that he is. Smith just doesn't throw to him because he's double covered constantly because all they have is Locket. No TE's .. no O-line to speak of. So he doesn't even try to throw to DK anymore. It's been that way for a few years. DK in the short term sounds like a way better deal than TH. No disrespect to TH. Leaves more cap money to get other critical positions outside of the draft.
