Always like a boss. Everyone of your projects. Hey prob can't help but notice how so many shop vids now are using the DiResta hyper-speed technique. Picture and sound. You and F. Howarth pioneered a new look but I think with you on hyper-speed Frank with stop motion. Makes Norm (who was (is)) the best look a bit old fashioned but still an icon and very entertaining. Anyway. Very cool as always.

heh. my desk is a 1/2" square steel welded frame with a 2'x4' sheet steel top. The price I paid for this thing back in the 90s horrifies me now that I make things. I think it was about $700 at Crate & Barrel back in 96? Glad I've gotten 20 years out of it (and it's still fine) but damn.

Great work, as always. You might wanna start wearing a breather when welding if you do a lot of it. The metal fumes can cause some bad respiratory diseases.

Those look pretty dangerous since it doesn't have any 45degree bracing. Even some small one footers would make them look much safer and I bet much more stiff. They do look bad ass...so props for that.

sreyemhtes I was referring to the vertical legs...not the horizontal part of the table (the table top). Those guys have heavy machinery on those tables...if they swing a little bit it might be enough force to cause the tables to collapse and seriously injure someone.

I think that's ok... When I picture the vertical legs trying to skew to side, because they are welded top and bottom, the entire unit would have to skew, like a rhomboid prism. So the top face would become more rectangular. But the horizontal work surfaces are attached to the frame by screws) and by being inaet) and will resist and such distortion of the top face.

They are def strong enough. I bet you have furniture made in china some where in your house and I bet it holds up just fine. These are made by someone with a ton of skill who pays attention to every part of the build.

+Joe Soap people that go to "Maker Spaces", and an actual fabricator/artist like Diresta are on different levels when it comes to skill and knowledge. While they could have probably made the tables. they would have probably not been made well.. think the 'cringe worthy' projects you see on those TLC/HGTV channel DIY remodel shows where the host doesn't even know how to hold a drill and is scared of the saws. LOL
