DiResta: Rolling Tool Cabinet

I just built 2 of these, and love being able to roll these out of the way,,, or, closer to the work. Mine have to roll out of a boxvan, on to jobsites,, so 5'10" was the max height, by 2' deep,, But I did make them 6' wide. Next 2 will get 4" casters thou,, 3" wheels struggle on uneven surfaces,, especially when the cabinet is loaded. Great vids Jimmy. Looking forward to seeing your other YT project vids. PS.. the "dirty" bent hinge trick was golden.

Actually, I ended up here while looking for 'wall' cabinet ideas, but when I saw the DiRest name on one, I just had to look. Glad I did. Awesome cabinet! What kind of gloves do you use? I work with a lot of reclaimed wood and the usual big construction gloves make it difficult to grab screws or any other small tools.

I'm curious about your outfeed table behind the Table Saw. It looks like a sacrificial top? At least, I've seen you cutting directly on it in other videos. Is is 1" foam, or is it a sheet of Plywood or ?? I also have a small shop and learned long ago that four swivelling wheels are the only way to go. Often people put two fixed and two swivel on a cabinet, but that does not work in tight spaces. Thanks for the video, enjoyed it!

Nice, but if the hinges are on the outside it is easy to get into it simply by unscrewing them, so the lock is not much use...

Locks only stop honest people, who would also not dismantle your cabinet to get inside it.
