Great book for a beginner . kzbin.infoUgkxD-QRFQz730FJEh4f9BYSf-nkIMIC9hL_ this book really starts from the beginning, as in it explains what basic tools are and how to use them. But when it gets to the art of creating joints and how and when to use them this book really starts to teach you something. At least that was my experience.

It’s something I can see a little bit of Maloof in his process. I remember seeing a few documentaries on Malouf making chairs, and he did the same thing with the band, shaping the rocking chair, always by hand and all the parts, the arms, the legs, the joints all done with the band saw done by hand

As many times as I've watched you run the band saw, it still amazes me how comfortable and proficient you are with it. I enjoy my band saw, but you have taken it to a whole new level. Very nice work on this chair.

A rocking chair is the number one thing most home woodworkers are afraid to make. You made it look easy. I appreciate all of the years you put in to get to this point and you continue to be the first vid I go to with the weekend updates. You are a Maker Stud. Thanks a ton for all you do. I really appreciate it.

Do you ever tire of hearing how talented you are? We tell you all the time, but why? You already know that. We are inspired by your creativity and talent. When I watch you make something, be it from wood, steel, or leather, it makes me believe that I can do that too. Yes, you have a lot of equipment that I will probably never be able to afford, but when I watch you make things like this chair, I am convinced that I can use the tools I have to make great things.
