Jimmy, I hope you don't let all the haters get to you! I as well as many many others LOVE Your work and your videos. I would hate for you to ever say "screw it" and stop posting. Ignore the trolls and let them get back to their reality TV and Dancing with the Stars. More people should learn how to "make"! The country would be a better place. Great job, and thanks for shareing, and inspiring!

Saw one of these stools in person today at the Bulleit bourbon workshop and it seems to be standing up to abuse really well. I'm a firefighter and made a false alarm today in a warehouse full of Bulliet and Dickell signs and bars and trailers so I asked if they had any pieces Jimmy had made and they said he actually works out of their shop from time to time. Pretty cool guys and left with some nice swag.

Never thought to make circles with a jig like that. Here I was cutting them out with a jig saw and sanding them down... This is a hell of a lot less tedious and definitely more accurate. Great work as always.

I am amazed to see someone use a jig saw without drilling holes first. I was taught this back in 8th grade. I have taught people how to use the jig saw in this manor and surprised nobody knew how to start a hole with a jig saw. Notice the front edge of the jig saw plate, it is built to cut holes without a drill.
@ultraorange1

they have plunge cut blades, but if you re-watch the video he drills pilot holes on all of the legs he cuts from the template.
@big1finger
@big1finger 10 жыл бұрын
Daniel Rezaiekhaligh PILOT HOLES are not necessary if you know what you are doing, and ypu don't need a special blade except when cutting holes under 3 inches. Drilling pilot holes is just added tome to what you are doing, time is money.

Nice video, you are like the only person I know that would know how to cut a circle from a table saw. I'm not really a fan of the screws showing up on the side, perhaps you could have glued down a strip of wood overtop of them vertically to hide them but yet give the stools a bit of trim also.
