He beat the reigning champs with Kobe, Pau, Artest, Odom. He then beat the future finalists with KD, Westbrook, Harden (btw all 3 MVPs, Scoring Champs) and the best shot blocker (Ibaka) looked like he doensn´t know what defense is. But the finals with Lebron, Wade and Bosh were just the cream on top of his run. What a monster he was in 2011
@josephbowen14074 жыл бұрын
He his the true Goat, By beating lbj, D Wade, Bosh, also for staying Loyal to the Mavericks not ring chasing or joining a super team like so many do now days, he also took pay cuts, he wasn't selfish, Nice to His teamates also to the fans, He truly cared, unlike so many who only care about themselves and there money, He could have scored 40,000 points if he would have joined another great team and won several championships, Dirk Nowitzki the NBA was better with you inn it, Now that he retired from the NBA they lost a Super Great Legend , not like lbj or kobe or others who cared about self , True Fan to the Game that will miss you!!!

Not many things make me cry, but when Dirk left the floor in San Antonio, I started to cry. He means so much to not just me, but he means everything to Dallas. He never left to go play with a Super Team, he took pay cuts and did whatever he needed to do to win. And his Championship Run? Dont get me started. -Beat a Great Blazers Team with (Aldridge, Roy, And others) -SWEPT the Defending 2 TIME CHAMPION LAKERS -DOMINATED vs (Durant, Westbrook, Harden) including 48 and 40 in 2 games of that series -Defeated the Super Team in Miami with LeBron, Wade, and Bosh Dirk, Congrats on a Great Career. Your a Living Legend. Thank You for Everything. Sincerely- Mavs Nation

That man Dirk, so humble, modest and loyal. While others yearn for pay increases he takes insane pay cuts to help his team. Truly a once in a generation player. Dirk Should Have 3 rings!! 2003 he got hurt in game 2 of WCF, and didn’t play the rest of the series, and mavs still pushed the spurs to game 6 without him. 2006 easily got robbed with Wade getting more freethrows than the entire mavs team. And 2011 the one that he absolutely dominated everyone, from Kobe and Pau, to Westbrook, Harden and Durant, to Bosh, Wade and Lebron!!! What a career man!!

Who thinks Dirk's 1 ring weighs more than Lebron's 3?
@kevinhoffman56515 жыл бұрын
Tom Yu yes!! He did it without and other stars unlike Lebron .
@corneliusbootyshortsiii40935 жыл бұрын
Tom Yu Lebron has never put a team on his back to win the finals like dirk has, of course. It took multiple tries to win with Bosh/Wade and the other two finals he’s won he’s gotten bailed out by the likes of Kyrie’s and Ray Allen’s crazy shots. he can’t win a finals without two other all-stars, Dirk won without a single guy that was even considered a fringe-all star. He didn’t need a Kevin Love/Kyrie or Bosh/Wade. 100%.

I love this celebration of Dirk. What an excellent interview and showcase of his highlight moments. BUT, you can't accurately portray Dirk's defining moments without the heartbreaking moments. You need the series losses to the apparently unbeatable Spurs. You need the crushing defeat in the 06 finals to DWade, Shaq, and the one sided officiating. You need the MVP 1 seed season the Mavs were sweept in the first round to the 8th seeded Warriors and Dirk throws the chair through the wall. You need the off-seasons of the talking heads saying the Mavs will never get it done because they are soft. They are soft because Dirk is playing like a shooting guard when he's supposed to be a POWER forward. As a mavs fan that remembers Dirk being drafted, the mavs were a rollercoaster of emotions. The closest real life thing to an Rudy type story. After they won in 2011, the game is different for me. My ultimate wish as a fan of basketball happened. I don't know, it feels like when you beat one of your favorite video games for the first time, you feel accomplished, grateful.... and yet, empty. Sure you'll play the game again, maybe even beat it again. But it's not the same. You'll never witness your team grind for a decade to win it's first ever championship ever again. Thank you Dirk. You'll always be my GOAT.
