I find the insights shared by Pieter (around the 5:40 mark) to be amazingly enlightening and directly illustrated between his NBS presentations of BWV 857 and the next in the series (BWV 858). In BWV 857, I was completely lost in the beauty. The piece could have continued for another 15 minutes and I wouldn't have noticed the world spinning. I also found the subsequent presentation of BWV 862 by Fortin to be equal in beautiful interpretation. Contrasting with the NBS presentation of BWV 858 in which I hear a tension between the bass and treble lines; something incongruous; my patience/interest/tolerance wanes.
