Lead assigns #2 to point direction for the pack and waits for sweep. #2 falls in ahead of sweep races the rest of the pack. No one passes the lead. Keeps the pace fast and lets the pack play.

I have ridden with hundreds of riders over the years. Most of the time in group rides. Here's an assembly of guidelines that can keep problems to a minimum. These days, my regular group and I very rarely have troubles, but I made this to make sure everyone is on the same sheet of music.
