Another good trick with the Ktm and husky when doing an oil change is that when you drain the screen or the oil filter that you can wrap a little bit of aluminum foil around the frame so it doesn’t get all over the fram and flows right into the oil drain instead of making a mess

14.00 *Japanese* screws are often a specialized size, getting the correct tool for the screw results in less stripping - yes they do 'stick' but I have found that people who use the incorrect tool often strip more often than those that use the correct tool

You started to explain that you don't warm up the engine before you drain the oil. But you got over it in a second. ;-) So why don't you warm up the engine? I don't do it too. In my theory the oil is already down in the engine so why should I pump it around before I want to drain it.

Yea the manual states 10 hours for my '21 350. Oil still looks new at 4 hours. Usually the manuals are very conservative, suggesting a top end at 40 hours when guys are putting 200+. Maybe if your riding very dusty conditions and on the rev limiter for the entire 4 hours it would make sense.

I recommend maxima, it's almost half the price and doesn't show any bacteria or slime build up on the screen as motorex did. Yeah please don't use cheap rotella diesel oil, I don't even put That in my truck. Car and truck oils have friction modifiers to help aid in things like fuel mileage! Not designed for a dirt bike

you cant tell about oil by just looking at it.. not to mention the oil in these bike is not anywhere done cause its not ever in the bike long enough.. i do know about motor oil and i know that this guy in the video doesnt know about this oil hes draining from the bike.. this same oil would be in a car motor for a 100 times longer and it still not wore out.. so...you cant tell by looking and touching it with a finger.. . smh.. you have to take a sample and send it off to a lab.. but this oil in this bike is no where near down.. that oil can take 50 times what he thinks i can.. any 4 stroke motor should have a good full synthetic oil in it.. ive never seen anyone ever put a Rotella oil in a dirt bike.. but this JUNK hes working on in this video its not going to matter if he put vegetable oil or soy oil (LMAO) in it its a junk bike and it doesnt matter anyway.. motol or lucas is the best ever!! get some!!

At 1:58 you can see 17nm stamped into the top triple clamp but at 4:30 you say you are setting the torque wrench to 16nm and go on to say that figure "is way over what they recommend". I think you might be actually under-torqueing them bolts. I know 1nm probably not gonna make a difference (torque wrench error factor/etc...) but I don't believe 16nm is over what that recommend.
