There is a little error about Kapalicarsi's (Grand Bazaar) history. The building didn't exist before Istanbul was conquered by the Ottomans in 1453. One of Mehmet the Conqueror's (then Ottoman sultan) top priorities was to revive the trade and commerce in the city. He ordered the construction of the bazaar in 1453 and it was completed in the mid-1450s.

I like Istanbul about as much as NYC (not at all, cant stand crowds, cant stand fast-paced living, etc) but this video actually makes this megacity appear doable ---now I have to search your channel to see if you've got NYC at dirt cheap too! thanks for sharing this

actually hagia sofia was turned into a museum after the declaration of republic. its turned into a mosque 2 years ago by erdogan regime
