That "wrenches on a carabiner" that we just casually glossed over is a brilliant trick! Stole that!

Thanks Fred for adding all the gear on my Newbsock. Oh, in case you didn't know, I'm the next owner of Newbsock😊. I would have added everything you have put on it so far . Keep up the great work.

Fred, you may want to add a storage bottle to that setup. Helps quite a bit when you’re filling big tires or running an air tool.

Been wish listing this for a couple years on my TJ. Love seeing you install it.

Great install Fred. I mounted in the same place on my JK. With all our gear packed in the back it’s actually quieter than under the hood. The one thing I did do was use the remote filter mounts so it would pull in cool air instead of hot air from the closed compartment.

Question for you. How did you wire and fuse it ? I’m interested in running the same set up.

Hi Fred, D-H Dave is totally cool with you two fixing the Avalanche!

My JL came with that tool roll. I am 100% aware that for the money, you could get more for less, but it came with the roll, and i love that damn thing. I've fixed so many things / grabbed stuff from the pick and pull, and was super happy to get that roll with my rig. I mean, my jeep also came with onboard air, but I love your videos, and will always watch em! haha Thanks Fred!

I really like the install Fred, love the videos as always. As far as the cover plate for your compressor compartment, maybe you should do some kind of vented metal plate? I would say expanded metal but that stuff can be kind of sharp.

thats a good idea,

Nice content Fred. Every compressor install has positives and negatives (groan).

Maybe space up the cover over the rear compartment to make sure enough cooling air moves around. Motors and compressed air make heat. maybe wooden block chunks.

Great video Fred! I have to admit that a few times I was having flashbacks to the Micromachine commercials. LOL 😂

Hey 4xFredwilliams how about a video on the dos and don’ts of airing up and down your tires. What pressures you should run. Do you need beedlocks? Etc, Etc

How do you plan to keep the compressor from overheating closed up in such a small space. I really like the idea, though, if that issue can be solved.

Especially if you’re letting your buddies air up with it too.

I looked up the tool bag n tools, I would have liked the bag (roll) and a few of the tools. But not that much. 😮 😢

arent the diff lockers operated by air? how are they controlled/aired?

but when are you ever going to run the compressor with the lid closed and all the tools packed up beside it? is a good spot just leave it how it is
@offroadingidiot7 ай бұрын
How hot are the twin compressors supposed to get, mine brand new has always run so hot it literally runs to fill my small 1 gallon tank and it's so hit you can't touch it or get near it and it sounds different from the different compressor sides.
@johnfitzgerald51587 ай бұрын
If it is anything like my single, it gets really freakin' hot. If it gets too hot, it will auto-shut off. Perhaps the dual doesn't work quite as hard. Still, I would never put it inside the cab or, for that matter, packed in a closed container with gear.

What are your thoughts on internal bead locks?
@4xFredWilliams7 ай бұрын
I have run them in the past, but don't really feel they are worth the added weight and complexity
@mitchellholroyd28377 ай бұрын
@@4xFredWilliams I guess I didn't think about the weight 😕. But I never weighed my standard wheels against my deadlock wheels.

Guessing MOPAR gave you the tool roll as a promotion? Because if you paid $540 for $50 worth of tools...wow.

@4xFredWilliams maybe they work on the west coast . Everyone I know here has chucked them in the garbage . Detroit or spool. Hell even Lincoln lockers are better.
