Dirt Devil Jaguar Pet Upright Vacuum

This is a Dirt Devil Jaguar Pet bagless upright vacuum, (which I believe to be from the late 2000s) that is used at where I work. I'm not a huge fan of Dirt Devil, but I think this is a decent vacuum, and it gets the job done, even though this is the year that Dirt Devil's started getting cheaper in quality. The hose on this is surprisingly long but the coupling at the base can get pretty weak when stretched to its maximum length. It features a 10 amp motor with clean air design and features cyclonic action to keep filters clean longer. The suction and airflow are not the best, but the agitation is decent. My complaint about this machine is that is how cheaply built it is. If only Dirt Devil made better quality vacuums, they would have a much better reputation, but if you ask me, I think this isn't the worst vacuum on the planet.

we have this same unit. best vacuum we ever purchased. the filter are very easy to clean. takes a total of 3 minutes to clean all the filters. we are going to purchase another one very soon because ours is 3 years old and is used everyday.

This thing in my opinion has to be one of the last decent dirt devils, its got hepa filtration, a cyclone that actually does something, a 10 amp motor, a nicer hose and turbo tool that doesn't feel like cheap crap, and a headlight which absolutely none of the new dirt devils have and probably never will again

Dirt Devil used to make good vacuums like the dirt devil breeze 12 amp, all the visions and the dynamites

this ones not bad at all actually, the cyclone is actually pretty effective unlike the newest dirt devils which basically have none at all

That's not that old, that'd be a 2015 machine at the oldest. Original Jaguars would've been the same as a 2000's Featherlite Bagless.

I am having the worst time getting the hose to stay attached when using the vacuum, It constantly pops out of place while vacuuming my small apartment. I don't want to tape it in place because I detach the hose in order to get under the cabinets in my kitchen. I'm about to get rid of the thing I am so frustrated. It should be designed with something to click the hose into place and then release when needing to use the hose. The vibration of the vacuum just causes the hose to detach so while vacuuming my one-bedroom apartment, I have to put the hose back in at least 5-6 times, that's ridiculous.

filters load up too quickly. you need about 6 of each filter to get anything large done efficiently. also, carpet height adjust is diffcult, takes two hands to get #2, and the handle is VERY flimsy
