Dirt Devil Power Stick 4 in 1 How to clean

New place yay!!! And because I have for some time now not been a Dyson vacuum cleaner owner, I went and got a Dirt Devil Power Stick 4 in 1 cleaner. It was only about $35, tax an' all, and I really am liking this. It's light. Super easy to maneuver around and suctions like a full size vacuum. I tried to Google how to clean the filter to maintain it and all and didn't find exactly this model and exactly what I was hoping to see. So I made y'all and meself a little video on how to treat yo' little Dirt Devil Power Stick so that it lasts forever!

Just bought a used one and can't wait to try it out tomorrow. It had not been cleaned in a while, so I emptied the dust bin, then went outside and used canned air to blow the other two filter pieces clean. You did a great video and made me chuckle. Nice job! Thanks.

Love the way it picks up, but having a hard time removing filter.

Nice for a few months and then falls apart. The brush is the first to go. It will stop spinning or spin very little and there's no easy way to get the brush out to clean it like on other models. Cleaning the brush is a normal thing to do, but try it on this model. Good luck. This model is a waste of money. You get what you pay for.

I bought this and two weeks later the brush stopped spinning and I am a neat freak so I cleaned my brush and filter after every use and I’m shocked that the brush stopped spinning. I called the company and still waiting to hear how they will resolve this issue.

@@googleuser8143 I found one of these in the trash. Both the main motor and the floor head motor work on it. I cleaned out the filter. But it is hard to clean the brush, especially getting the cat hair out from between the spool and the belt sprocket. BTW, did you ever resolve your issue with Dirt Devil regarding yours?

@@nonelost1 they told me to cut the cord at the base of the vacuum and send them a photo of it and they would send me a new one. I just ended up taking it back to the store and getting my money back. I should have done that in the first place.

Wow, we had no idea you could take it apart and use it as a smaller vacuum. Actually, I was looking for a video on how to take the brush out because I unscrew everything at the bottom but it still doesn't want to come apart. I'm afraid if I pull too hard I'll break it!

Same here! I found mine in the trash but I think it simply needs to have the brush head radically cleaned. But I cannot figure out how to pull the 2 halves of the brush head apart.

Might be talking out of my ass here, but I honestly didn’t realize that there was a floor setting and a carpet setting, and I had it on the floor setting, which made me think that the brush was stuck. Where honestly, all I needed to do was put it on the carpet setting. LMAO

If any one wanted a update I found it the filter but it’s destroyed and I improvised used a dryer sheet for the cloth part and it works so if any one needed that ripe of tip. There ya go 👌🏻👍😁

Great video! But you did not show how to remove the brush and clean it out. I had to pry the 2 halves of the floor head apart just far enough to be able to get the brush out. Now I just need a much easier way to get all the dust out of those bristles, and especially how to get the cat hair out from between the spool and the belt sprocket.

After having this vacuum for 1 solid month try in using a family's or friend vacuum and compare it to another or real vacuum because the power stick only picks up just a little bit.

@@loranspurling9126 yeah it's Great if you're on a low budget 💰, just make sure you clean it everytime you use it so that it works in the long run , but if you have an extra $400 - $700 go with the Pro vacuums it's more worth your time and money 🤑

Wish it was cordless. P.S. you could get a toothbrush clean out the dust off. I do that with a small vacuum i got for my car.
