Thank you! How do you clean the extension wand/hose. I don’t know the actual name for it but the black hose you can pull out for crevice cleaning. When I take it out there is a lot of dust and dirt in the slot it stays in. Do I have to clean all that up by hand? Hope this makes sense I don’t know the actual part names

@@missdarla2335 wow its so funny that you responded to my comment yesterday. I actually bought a new vacuum earlier this week because my dirt devil was not picking up any dirt/dust at all anymore. Maybe if i cleaned the hose like you explained but it seemed like it was just too much buildup. I now have the Bissell PowerTrak compact vacuum and LOVE IT. Planning to do extreme spring cleaning this weekend and glad I made this purchase.

so since no one knows wtf im talking about that piece inside the cylinder he took out of the vacuum itself to empty in2 trashcan.... reach in cylinder (AFTER emptied out) grab and twist out the Red piece sitting in middle...it says rinsable filter. BUT does tht mean the grey thin filter tht slides over the cylinder white filter (big piece) or the actual white filter under the thin grey stretchy part?...... google cant give me an answer & all the videos it brings up in reference are literally like this. Person vacuuming for 5 min n dumping out the crud by just using the drop button on top of the cylinder, to dump into a trash....& video end.

@@TheChoralist i actually slid off ( CAREFULLY ) the grey filter and washed that by hand and as for that white filter, washed that as well, in kitchen sink. Got a new faucet bout a week before n the nozzle turns into 💁🏻 basically a mini pressure washer, so I put that thing on the, "blast it TF up & out of here mode" for the outside of the white filter. & the red handle like piece that u can see down into, turn hot water all the way up n holding filter at an angle let water hit filter at best you can n wash/push out its inside grossness. Lastly, drying it I just used my GF blow dryer, 🤣 O......also goes without saying be mindful when using high heat on that kinda material u can keep it on a area too long, on high n you'll see that white filter turning a rusty orange color (it's burning the filter)...... Don't hold blow dryer directly on the filter or the white filters surrounding plastic or in one section for too long

Do NOT buy this product. Reassembling the canister after cleaning the filters is difficult, time consuming, and frustrating. I ended up buying a Bissel vacuum that was 1000% easier to use.

I have been trying now for two hours to get the canister (Endura Compact is mine) back on to no avail. I opened it from the top to access the filter for cleaning but now it will not align back up or click into place. This is so aggravating..why in the hell would this company make something so user unfriendly. I am going to contact the store for a refund..and the manufacturers if need be. I had the dirt devil Featherlite with bag fie over 10 years and it was great. This thing here is a piece of junk compared to it..but yet cost almost the same. SMH
