Brett, it’s becoming clear the AT is more bike than you can comfortably handle. Unless you’re prepared to put in gym hours you’re going to suffer mentally and physically almost every trip. I bought one and found the same, so I sold it. Now awaiting the Transalp. You don’t need an overpriced, overweight monster to enjoy adventure riding. Consider the Transalp and abandon performance anxiety forever.

I love my ATAS too much and I don't mind getting comfortable with the uncomfortable, it builds strength and resilience! What I need to do is put in more effort outside of riding and work! That takes time though!

Good deal bud. That was well worth the ride for sure. I'm still jealous. So how far/long is the ride? Is that just a day trip or a weekend trip? I probably don't want to know because to see anything remotely close to those views, it would be about an 8 to 10 hour ride for me.
@ADVBrett

Thanks brother!! Yeah just a day trip, 260kms all up (162 mile) so it was an all day trip. I'll do anywhere from 150kms to 400kms in a day, there's so much to explore close to home, it's never ending!

@@ADVBrett 😩That's it, I'm moving. I went 400 miles last weekend with my son and barely got to see a hill🤣. You are so lucky and I guess I am too, because I at least get to watch where you go and enjoy from afar.

@@BigDaveTALKS Mate I would seriously struggle having to ride that far to see some proper trails. I'm doing a 2 or 3 day ride soon, you'd be amazed how far we can go in that time!

@@ADVBrett Yeah It sucks sometimes, which is why I go nuts when I actually get out of Texas. I just want to ride and see as much as possible with the little amount of time I have. I hope you record it so us flat landers can enjoy. If not I totally understand. I can only imagine and watch the beauty you have in your back yard.

Can't justify the costs of rego and insurance on a second bike. This is where the Africa Twin has been so good, it's a great all rounder.
