There has also been a long positive acceptance of dirt within clearly defined boundaries, which I think Mary Douglas touches upon. Examples that come to mind are the hair shirt, the sexual fetish, and the recreational activities where getting dirty is part of the challenge. Edit: also add that there's a differentiation between good and bad dirt. The dirt of a working man has often been viewed as good dirt.

Lewis: I like how much you emphasize Habermas’ ‘public sphere’ for democratic discussion/argumentation. The structure of YT is oppressive in how it gives power to YT channel users in discussion at the expense of other commenters. Though, on your last video you removed my 1st intellectual property abolition thread without notice to me. And you removed another comment in this video. So instead of immediately removing comments (or blocking users) from now on, I have a suggestion that you respond to each user with the same or similar following comment: “YT channel users can remove any comments and block other users from commenting for any reason. This is anti free speech and gives power to YT channel users at the expense of other users commenting on their channel. Your last comment _________, however I won’t immediately remove this comment. So instead I’m giving you until 24 hours from now to explain why I shouldn’t remove your last comment. (I’m also open to hearing explanations from anyone for why/how I should change this process)” Please let me know your thoughts. You could substitute “remove your comment” with “block you” or “remove your comment & block you” whenever it seems appropriate. It’s also important YT channels don’t ban any particular terms: *All terms can be ethically used in the right context* . It would be very beneficial for free speech & democracy on the internet if more channel users (& users/mods/platform holders on other sites) started conducting themselves like this.

There's art in dirt as well. Quite literally there is the so-called "Art Povera" movement that used actual dirt (including human dirt), but one also thinks of the disorder of "all over" paintings and even the "degenerate" work that the Nazi's placed on view in foreboding exhibitions that ran parallel to their national exhibitions (that conversely celebrated the ultra-clean, social realist, state-sanctioned style). The documentary "Architecture of Doom" (1989) may be of interest as a companion piece to your video.

This is brilliant. At the time I'm viewing this video there's a huge controversy surrounding a cryptocurrency exchange named FTX which crashed where a lot of people lost money. In videos covering the stroy images of its (Jewish) founder show his purposely darkened face sometimes smudged with photoshopped dirt. Even other actors such as the influencers who drove people to buy into the obvious scam are shown darkened, smudged and with distorted squinty eyes. Funny thing is while the founder's unkempted appearance was seen as a mark of his sincerity/believability previously (he also sports a jewfro) in recent times he is photoshopped into an obese monstrosity with superflous hair. Its' fascinating to see these tropes come out when raw emotions have been stirred.

is not Racism just tribalism by another name?not a shallow social construct but a innate aspect of humanity as human beings are pack animals and pack animals are tribal? Trying to fight it is like a man screaming at a typhoon or tsunami instead of preparing for the storm ,to accept nature as it is instead of how we wish it to be, is to find peace. it is as we are, a force of nature. Respect one another the keep your countries as homogeneous as possible. The Eternal truth is that the more differences there are in between people the more they fight and the more similar they are the more harmonious Society is. Look at the most Multicultural Societies in the world and compare them with the most homogeneas societies and you will see that one is vastly more harmonious than the other. Compare Japan to Brazil..... Singapore to America...... Switzerland to Paris....... the Balkans to Thailand. Diversity is not a virtue the very word itself means to divide. Unfortunately that is what some people want more than anything else. It's the oldest trick in the book to divide and conquer
@Sam-ug4xt2 жыл бұрын
You're comparing colonisers with colonised. Rich with poor. Ur seeing correlation but it is not causation. Diversity in nature is the most healthiest. A field with numerous grasses and flowers and vegetation will support more insects, birds, mammals, etc all living amongst each other. You use Brazil as an example but fail to mention slavery, and the exploitation, of africans. Its not the diversity that's the problem it's that one race saw themselves as above the other, and thus created inequality. London is exceedingly wealthy and is very multicultural..as an example.
@waltershumer42112 жыл бұрын
@@Sam-ug4xt .... yes London is materially wealthy but divided as well as having the child rape scandals of Rotherham and Tilford and the Brits becoming minorities within their own country as they are a minority in London as well as Manchester and other provinces. As far as comparing victim statuses I think it is often forgotten that slavery was a worldwide phenomenon until the British ended it themselves in fact it still exists in Africa where there are open-air slave markets in Liberia as well as Saudi Arabia and India. The point at the end of the day as I've said is it the more like people are the more they cooperate and the more they differ politically ethnically and religiously linguistically the more they fight
@Sam-ug4xt2 жыл бұрын
@@waltershumer4211 white brits are not a minority in the UK loooooool have u looked at demographics. Most big cities are multicultural. Look at dubai, one of the richest, and Arabs are outnumbered. You're clearly the type of person to preach "pure blood" and probably would have supported lynching of black men who dared date white women. If you think its race rather than class, you're so ignorant. It's racism which doesn't let ppl get along. It's the continued upholding of what you are saying. That we must stay separate . Perpetuating it further to be against "the other", against mixing, further being xenophobic, creating unease. . Can't you see that it is exactly that thinking which creates it???

@@shawnruby7011 Creativity requires thinking that does not necessarily abide to rules of logic initially. That's what brainstorming sessions are for btw. And the word brainstroming itself actually implies disorder. There is actually a lot of randomness in creativity. The process is eventually filtered out by rational thinking, of course, but if you want a high level of creativity you have to allow yourself to think in a disorderly manner. Hope this helps somehow.
@ziad_jkhan3 жыл бұрын
@@shawnruby7011 Nothing in what was said requires the beating of any kid to achieve anything.
